Murphy and Alex

-Hey guys! Sorry I haven't uploaded a chapter in a while.. I am balancing school and this at once. This chapter will be in 1st person because it is written from Alex's point of view. This chapter will be primarily about Murphy and Alex so I will have another chapter ready soon. I know you might want bellarke but this chapter is important to most of the storyline, so if you don't read this chapter you will be severely confused lmao. Also, in the last chapter it was mentioned that Alex and Murphy were walking the beach together so that's where their conversation takes place. Let's get to the story!-

My name is Alex Jones. I am one of the roommates that you have learned about. My best friends out of all the roommates are Murphy and Raven, but you already knew that. My parents died when I was eighteen, and Murphy's parents died soon after that. We both got a job and bought an apartment together up until about four years ago when Bellamy came up with the idea that we should all pool in our money and buy a house together. I really like the new roommate, Clarke Griffin, and I think Bellamy does too. When Clarke agreed to move in with us Bellamy could not stop talking about it. Anyway, that's enough of my backstory. I will get to the good stuff.

"You okay, Alex?" Murphy asks.
"Oh yeah, sorry I kind of zoned out a little," I say laughing. Murphy looks at me and smiles.
"So, you said you wanted to talk to me about something?" I say, looking up at Murphy. He is so much taller than me.
"Oh yeah, right. Can we sit down?"
"As you wish, sir." I say sitting down in the sand. Murphy sits down as well, relatively close.
"So what's up?" I ask. Murphy silently looks out into the stars.
"Well I just wanted to talk-" Murphy stops.
"Okay? Talk about what?" I say looking at him. His eyes are still pinned on the night sky.
"I wanted to talk about us." He says. My stomach turns.
"What do you mean, us?"
"Where this is going." Murphy says, finally looking into my eyes. I try to stay serious and hide my smile.
"Where our friendship is going?" I say, instantly regretting it. I totally just friend zoned him, didn't I? Murphy and I have been so close, since birth. I don't know if would want to mess that up.
Murphy chuckles. "You friend zoning me, Jones?"
"Depends. Do you want me to friend zone you?" I say, smiling and looking down at the ocean.
"You know what I mean, Alex," Murphy puts his hand on my face, facing me in his direction, "I've been waiting a long time for you."
"Murphy." I say.
"No, Alex listen to me. I know you love me too."
"I do love you, Murphy."
"Only as a friend?" Murphy gulps. I do love him. As a friend, and more. But I just don't think that us being together would work out.
"No," I say looking at him, "I mean, yes."
"Ahhh," Murphy laughs, "I got you there didn't I?"
"Damn it, Murphy." I say laughing.
"What is so bad about us being together?"
"Nothing. I just feel like, if we were to break up, I would lose my best friend." I say looking out to the horizon.
"Who says we are going to break up?" Murphy asks. Out of the corner of my eye I see Clarke and Bellamy having fun splashing each other and laughing in the water. Then I see Raven looking at Murphy and I through the kitchen window. Once I look at her directly, she quickly moves out of view. I have noticed that Raven seems a bit jealous of something lately. She just hasn't told me what it is.
"There is a chance we might, Murphy." I say, still eyeing the window.
"Even if we do, I promise that nothing will ever split our friendship. I love you so much, Alex. I don't ever want to lose you." Murphy says. I can feel his breath close to me. I turn my head to face him.
"Okay."
"What?"
"Okay." I say, smiling.
"You wanna do this?" Murphy asks.
"Yes I do." I say as Murphy places his hands on my waist. We look into each others eyes for a little bit and then Murphy places his lips onto mine. The kiss is soft and tender. But then it's grows into a hot, rough kiss. I move onto Murphy's lap, still kissing him. Murphy un ties the bathing suit under my shirt, and I lift my shirt off. Murphy kisses his way down my chest, and practically rips my bathing suit bottom off. As I start to take off Murphy's bathing suit, he stops.
"What?" I say.
"We need some sort of protection," Murphy says grinning.
"I'm on the pill," I laugh.
"So I just stopped for nothing?" Murphy asks.
"Shhh," I say putting my finger to his lips, "You are going to step on the mood."
Murphy smiles and begins to kiss me again. We share a passionate love making, and then we put our clothes back on, and start to head indoors. But I can't help but think that Raven is mad at me for something.
