Half

Chapter 8:

I woke up the next morning, taken back remembering that me and Pea were now living with FP and Jughead. Sweet Pea was still sound asleep, and still holding me tight. I smiled and let out a sigh, staying awake. Suddenly, the bedroom door creaked open as Jughead walked in. I raised an eyebrow at him.

"Jug? What the hell are you doing?" I whisper-yelled, gesturing to my brother.

"You guys gotta get up for school." Jughead sighed.

"Do I have to go?" I whined, Jughead chuckled.

"Yes, now get ready and get your brother up too." He walked out and closed the door behind him.

"Pea, Pea, Get up!" I shook him awake.

"Uh, why so early?" He groaned and rolled over, facing away from me.

"We have to go to school."

"Do we have to?" He asked and I nodded.

"Fine." 

He got up and stretched as I got dressed, wearing burgundy shorts, a black see-through top, and my navy blue bralette  underneath. I also put my navel piercing which no one knew I had. Then I put on an olive green and black flannel over my top. I put on my plain white slip-on Vans and got ready to leave, grabbing my backpack and a few empty notebooks. Including my special notebook that contained songs I've written. I got to the front door of the trailer where FP, Jughead and Pea were all standing, staring at me.

"What?" I looked down at my outfit."

"You took forever." Jughead scoffed. I rolled my eyes.

"Duh, I'm a girl, course I take forever." I laughed.

"What is that?" Pea asked pointing to the piercing.

"My navel piercing."

"When did you get it done?"

"A few years ago, did it myself." Pea rolled his eyes.

"Not a fan of my little sister having a belly button piercing."

"Let's just get to school." 

We met outside the trailers with the few other teenage Serpents. Pea jumped into a conversation, leaving me and Jug alone. The girl, who I recognized as Toni Topaz came up to us.

"Hey Jones, and you, the girl from the fight." She smiled kindly.

"I'm Peanut, Pea's sister." I shook her hand.

"After seeing you at the fight, I know we will be best friends." She smiled.

"I desperately need friends, especially moving to a new school. Haven't been to a real school since I was a little kid." 

We linked arms as we tredged to the high school. Once we got to it, everyone stopped and stared at everyone in our group. We continued walking in the double doors. There was a girl dressed in black and had pearls around her neck and she stood behind a small table that was in the middle of the hallway.

"Friends! Welcome to Riverdale High." She smiled a fake smile.

"I have your schedules here, and flyers for our clubs here. We highly encourage everyone to get into extracurricular activities here." 

We made eye contact and she glared at me.

"You, you're the little snake that beat up my boyfriend."

She lunged towards me. Pea and Jughead put their arms in front of me, shielding me from her. I held a glare as I stepped forward, finding my schedule. I had Biology first, then Calculus, followed by Singing, English, P.E., and History. I lookeed around and saw Toni, Jughead and Pea were all in my classes. Except Singing, I was the only one.
