CHAPTER ONE

become a god. Why would you not want to be someone with so much power? More riches than anyone could ever imagine? A being so strong you'll be almost unstoppable?" the king of the gods questioned.
"I don't need to answer to you," Percy said harshly.
Zeus's eyes turned completely blue. Thunder crackled. Sparks started coming out from his eyes which followed with tiny lightning bolts flashing onto the rest of his body. Sparks flied off him. "You dare talk back to me boy? I will show y-" Water grabbed Zeus's body. It held him back. Zeus struggled to get out of the waters grasp. When Zeus stopped thrashing in his throne the water splashed down and stopped holding him back.
"I've told you... I do not have to answer to you. But, if you really like to know one reason why. Simple. You all have changed in my eyes. You're all just simply beings with too much power. And you want even more. It's too much for your own good. You say that the power will be mine. Tempting. But, no. If I accept I'll be held back like a weapon. Waiting to destroy on your command. I was already your pawn- but you've pushed it. Now I'm just on the edge waiting to jump and leave. Because I realized I've been used," Percy's voice was barely audible, but everyone heard.
"I think I'll go now. But, before I do I want you to know I am loyal to a cause not a person or a being," and with that Percy vanished.
All the gods and goddesses were silent for a few seconds. Slowly quiet chatter became louder and louder. The volume kept on increasing. Till the point where whispering became talking to yelling. Everyone was yelling across the throne room. It was chaotic.
"how did he do that," Demeter called out confused.
"did you see how the water grabbed him, he's not even the god," Hermes questioned.
"this is all your fault Zeus! You were the one who wanted him to be a god. You were the one who made him go, he's lost faith now, in everything" Aphrodite yelled out.
"I could care less if it weren't for the fact that was my only demigod son! He's gone! All gone!"
Zeus got out of his throne and started yelling at some of the some of the gods. Hera quickly got out of her throne as she saw this happen. She shoved Zeus and slapped him in the face. That shut him up real quick. All the gods and goddesses quieted down after the sound Hera had made echoed across the throne room.
"I've had enough of you! All of you! Acting like children! For the sake of Chaos! Would you all shut up! This is all your fault! We've lost an important demigod. The strongest one at that. And he's gone. He won't come back. Not unless you all learn to act," Hera's voice gradually started decreasing and trembling more and more. "I thought you hated Perseus? After all you are the reason why he got amnesia" "it doesn't matter who we dislike or who we like. What matters is we've lost the most powerful demigod to ever exist," Hera responded.
Artemis cut in "He's even stronger than we thought. Didn't you see how he- not even a minor god held down Zeus. Fought ares and won without any training at twelve. He's stoped a war before it happened because of you alls childish behavior. He lead a war. And another. And has done countless other things we don't know of!"
And then they were all silent. It has then hit them what they truly lost. Not just the boy. But, even the gods power. The gods will eventually
