CHAPTER EIGHT
silently explosives
went off in the distance in the odd city.
Jason and Percy both looked at each other. Percy was a bit awkward not really sure what to say about seeing his old friend. Unlike him, Jason was scanning him for any information telling him that he was lying.
Jason makes it hard for people to earn his trust: He's just been with too many people who broke his trust. He doesn't want that to happen again.
Overtime Jason learned ways to recognize that people are lying. Body posture, different pitch's in voice, eye contact, fidgetiness, seriousness, literally all the possible ways to figure out if they tell the truth or not.
He could tell what Percy had said to him was the truth.
He was glad, but still didn't fully trust him.
As Jason looked around he noticed a bullet wound that was pretty bad. Lots of blood loss. Seemed pretty recent, either yesterday or earlier today.
Jason stayed quiet: He pretended we didn't notice as he moved his eyes from the wound patched up wound. He wasn't going to say anything on that until Percy said anything about the ones he had.

As Percy dragged the other to his apartment to heel him, he realized someone was watching over him and the other mysterious person.
Percy quickly started dragging him on the opposite direction of his apartment just to double check if he was really following him.
Percy glanced up quickly. He was.
Percy dropped the body and turned around.
"what's your deal man?"
The man stared right into Percy's eyes and pulled out something. A gun.
Now Percy would vapor travel his way out, or go and fight the man. But, the whole point of this was to lay low and figure out who's who- possibly make an ally. Not to expose himself and make an enemy.
Percy assumes the man was an enemy of the wounded man. Possibly the man who caused the other to have a wound.
Percy heard a click. A push. The gun had
went off.
