I strongly encourage that form of action when it comes down to violence within families.
You are not alone, just contact your local police station and tell them everything about the domestic abuse that's taken place. Not all cops are crooked, their is some really good officers who are willing to help you, after all, they took an oath to serve and protect.
No one deserves to go through any type of physical, verbal, or emotional abuse. So once again, I strongly strongly encourage you to contact the police if domestic violence is your reasoning for wanting to run away.
