Then I look at you .... and the world alright with me ... Just one look at you ..... and I know it's gonna be.
"A lovely day .......
THE SMELL OF BACONand eggs filled the inside of Aaliyah's nose as she opened her eyes up to the bright sunlight peaking through the curtains of her window.
She yawned and stretched her arms as she drowsily looked around the room that was filled with all sorts of posters of every artist she adored on one wall, to photos of friends and family on the other along with it being painted a sky blue color with different colored light up stars on the walls and ceiling. She had been home back in Detroit for some time now and it was still pretty weird to be sleeping back in her bed. I mean she missed it dearly just like she missed her family and friends but it was as if she was acclimating to being back home again.
She dragged herself happily out of bed and smiled, whenever she smelt the smell of breakfast on Monday morning she knew only one person was responsible for it. Throwing on a robe and bunny slippers she ran downstairs and stopped midway by the door arch when she saw her father flipping bacon on the skillet and grooving to "Bill Withers Lovely Day. The song was one of his favorite oldies and they used to dance and sing along to the jam together when she was a little girl and even now.
"When I wake up in the morning love, and sunlight hurts my eye ... and something without warning love, that's heavy on my mind.
"Then I look at you .... and the world alright with me ... Just one look at you..... and I know it's gonna be.
