I have a really big secret to tell you.
Yes you! The person reading this book! Jeez, sometimes humans are so silly. And I say silly because humans are also really easily offended. I guess I should formally introduce myself. My name is Ryan, and well if you couldn't tell I'm a not exactly human. Only partly. I was born with a demon father and a human mother. I know! You probably didn't think that demons were real! Well, we are, and we are very good at blending in when we need to.
I'm writing this book because, well, I'm special. You might already think I'm special because I'm a demon, or if you're a demon reading this you might just think I'm a prick, but I actually am different. It has to deal with my blood. The point is, because I'm so special, I need to get my story out there. The adventures I had in my life so far have all been pretty amazing. Somebody other than my friends have to hear about it. And maybe I'll shed some light on how demons really work, because humans don't know squat about what it's like.
There's one more thing though, try not to get too crazy about this, okay? Not everyone is ready to hear that the things that their great great ancestors saw were actually real. We're in hiding for a reason, or we were, at least. We probably should have stayed that way. Humans weren't ready for us when we came back into their lives. So maybe just keep a lid on it, alright? Sure, show this book to your friends, but if they think it's fiction, don't try to make them believe it's real, okay?
