'Knock.Knock.Knock.'
"Hey,kids, the pizzas here!" Shouted Linda.
Gen and Rem both ran downstairs to the kitchen with the warm flattering aroma of Pepperoni and mushroom pizza with extra marinara sauce on the side.
Yum,yum.
"Hmm,Mom,that smells delicious!" Gen bragged.
"I hope it does. It's a celebration pizza! Dig in!" Linda replied.
They all dug into the pizza like baby hyenas hunting for the first time.
-
After the pizza , they all watched a movie.
It was called "courageous," about policeman who were Christians facing worldly problems and how they coped with it and had miracles happen. They kept their faith in God and that's how they got through it all.
-
"Gen,you better go upstairs and finish your homework.I don't want you getting behind ,especially on your first day."
"Me neither.I'll go do it now."
I walked up the steps watching Remy and remembering what the first night had looked like when I found out.
-
I stepped inside my room and since I lied about having homework , I just sat on my bed.
That's what I usually did. When it came to nighttime , I would lay on my bed and think about what the day brought me.How if I could do this day all over again,I wouldn't.
I guess I'm glad that there is a 'new' day everyday . There is no way I could survive two of these.
I had to prepare for tomorrow. The books I needed to bring, pick out my clothes, and try remembering where all my classes were.
I brushed my teeth and took a shower which felt so nice.I remember my dad would tell me "when your having a bad day, just take a shower and everything will be better."
That was the stupidest saying I've ever heard. But,boy did it work.
I wrapped my towel around my drenched head and laid back on my bed. Okay, time to check twitter...

When Gens father died, the family was left stranded.
They didn't know how to move on from it.But the world moves on even when your not ready for it to. I guess that was the hardest part.
Especially for Linda.
Her husband died leaving her with two kids to take care of.She didn't know how to tell them that their father died.It was easy to tell Genesis because she asked.
But telling Remy was a different story.
