"I will see you tomorrow?" He asked.
"You mean Monday, not Sunday?" I asked thinking he got his days mixed up.
"No, I mean tomorrow, and the next day and the next day and-"
"Yeah, I got it.... Haha, yes. If you can crawl through this window every night, then you're more than welcome to.Just don't let my mom see you." I said cutting him off.
He kissed me one more time before leaving and jumped out the window crawling down from my balcony and onto the ground.
I stepped out on the balcony and watched the shadow of his body disappear into the darkness.
I couldn't stop smiling. I felt wanted,needed,and loved.Somebody cares about me.
--
I unpacked my loaded suitcase and stashed it on the top shelf of my closet back to it's original place.
I smiled as I fell backwards onto my bed making a big 'thump' noise that echoed through the springs of the mattress.
-
I picked up my phone as I heard my beeper go off that alerts me that I either have a notification, text or a call.
Speak-of-the-devil... It's Abbi.
I tapped the red 'ignore' button and turned over on my side.
My body could use a good nights sleep.
Within minutes I finally dozed off and into the same dream.
-
10 year old me, waddling down the steps to the kitchen and asking my mom the same question I do every night in my dream.
"Mommy,what's wrong?"
-
I always hated that question and I've never asked her that question ever again.I pretty much knew what was wrong when she was upset. It was kind of obvious.
I woke up with another gasp as the dream concluded to it's final phrase.
"It's your father...there's been an accident."
Ugh... Those words haunt me every night.
-
"Oh my gosh!" My upper body flew up into a seated position underneath my wrinkled sheets.
'I don't remember getting under the sheets..' I thought confused.
Dakota made me forget all about what had happened with the stranger who was trying to kill me. I need to say something to Dakota, but what do I say? It would sound weird I just asked him right-out-of-the-blue.
I just need to get it over with.
And dude ,seriously! What is up with this stupid clock? Every time I set it to wake me up at 6:00 in the morning it chooses a different time to start beeping. At the worst times. And the unneeded times.
It was set for 8:34 PM.
Yeah... Like I need to be woken up at 8:34 at night.
-
My phone was on my bed stand and the battery had died.
I plugged it in and it took 5 minutes for it to turn on.
I played with my hair and decided it was 'second day' hair and it needed to be washed.
I hopped in the shower and kept forgetting that I had no more conditioner, so I used Remy's 2-n-1 shampoo and conditioner. It wasn't great, but it smelled like green apples. Not too bad.
