"GET TO THE GATE! GO GO GO!" I yelled as loud as I could, my voice strained itself from the fear.

We all ran no tomorrow, even though my wounds were fully sealed thanks to the augmenter, I did believe that at that time I was going through an augmenter poisoning. Uma had accidentally injected to much of that damned drug into my blood stream causing my body to react badly to it.

I was damped in cold sweat and the side effects were taking effect a lot quicker than expected. I was beginning to feel light headed from the effects and my breathing wasn't fairing any better causing me to slow down. The gate was so close yet so damn far at the same time and it felt like we were running on the same place. Everyone seemed more focused on running but Sophia noticed that i was being left behind.

"What are you doing?! Go! Don't worry about me!" I yelled as the gravekeeper made his way towards us. I could see the home guard scrambling to their fighting positions.

"You're not getting left behind!" Sophia said with fear in her eyes.

"Don't worry about-- I just--" I said as dizziness overwhelmed my senses causing me to lose balance although Sophia was there to catch me on time and started to almost carry me as I leaned to her for support.

"I got you!" Sophia said as the gravekeeper started to dive on us.

That idiot preferred to attempt to save me than to save herself, it was no use at this point to attempt such a thing. The only thing that was close enough to stopping the creature at this point was the home guard which to fire their guns at the creature. The deafening cacophony of anti aircraft and cannon fire blanketed the air above us as rounds exploded in mid air sending shrapnel towards every direction.

The incessant and deafening cannon fire continued until one lucky shot landed a direct hit on the creature's wing before it crashed into the ground just a few feet from us leaving dousing us in a light rain of its blood. There drones seemed like a swarm of hornets as they attacked with their small caliber weapons.

They were trying to divert its attention, but that only pissed it off. The beast swung wide with its tail, we were in the path but fortunately Sophia was able to shove us both to the ground covering me with her body. Diana and the others could be seen trying to find a way to help, but all they could do is watch hopelessly as the beast trashed around trying to fight the off the little pest that attacked it.

Sophia decided to start dragging me to make distance with the creature as I tried to stand up, unfortunately the creature took notice of us and I honestly thought this was it for us. This is when our mysterious guardian angel jumped in to save us.

"You two! Get out of here we got this..." A man commanded with a distorted voice over speaker of his fully enclosed helmet.

I was not able to focus properly but from what I remember, this savior wore the equipment of the infamous seventeenth shock troop battalion, Their power armor; impressive as it may seem, was obsolete compared to the newer models. Yet that did not take away the fact that who ever wore such a thing was visually a walking tank on the battlefield.
