The young boy stood in the empty void of light.

His outline was barely visible in the bath of white that adorned him, and his thin clothes waved steadily in the open breeze that passed through the blank area like a gentle wave.

It was the only sound that managed to whisper in the infinite plane of nothing.

None seemed to bother him until a familiar sound entered his ears like an old melody.

He turned knowingly, his lips bending at the sight of the jubilant pup that had faded into existence.

They smiled at each other, a smile that washed away all sin, all regret that either of them had shared during the times in their lives.

The boy waited patiently as the Pokémon caught up to his side, and then he spoke to it softly.

"Welcome home."

"We bear the heavy rain of a hurricane's tremors.

Each growl of thunder, each crack of lightning, each stabbing lash of wind.

And when everything passes, in the eye of the storm,

All is right again."
