(ALLIE'S POV)
I grab my backpack and sling it over my shoulder. I step out of the limo, and immediately there are clicks and flashes everywhere. I pay no attention to them and walk towards the front of the enormous school, where tons of kids are milling around waiting for the bell to ring. As I approach them, some of them turn around and stare at me. I just smile at them.
I'm used to this.
Soon the bell rings, and everyone goes inside. This school was huge, and I must admit, pretty nice. I took out a piece of paper from my bag which had my schedule, locker number, and combination. After I put my stuff down, I shut my locker and prepare to head off to my first class, music theory. Only problem: I didn't know where that was. Kids who had been going here already knew where all the classrooms were, so I guess I was the real newbie.
I quickly turn around, only to bump into a short, pretty girl. She looks down. "Sorry," she mumbles, and takes another step to walk away. "Wait," I say. She looks up. "Do you know where the music theory room is?" She nods. "I'm on my way there too, just follow me." I grin. "Thanks so much!"
As we walk down the hallways, I ask, "What's your name?"
"Well, my real name is Lee Ji Eun, but everyone calls me IU, so just call me that."
"Okay." For the rest of the way we compare our schedules, and we actually have five out of seven classes together; I only had PE and drama without her.
We reach the music theory class at the end of the hallway just as the first period bell rings and IU opens the door. "After you," she says. "No, you first," I gesture. She walks in and the class is already full of people. The teacher, a man with glasses who looks like he's in his late fifties, says tiredly, "Just on time. Take a seat, girls." I look around. There were some girls chatting in the middle front with faces caked with makeup, a boy peacefully sitting in the corner of the second row writing some papers, and a few rowdy guys sitting in the far back laughing. When IU and I walked in, they looked at me and seemed to quiet down a bit.
Mr. Morse, whose name was written on the board, said, "My name is Mr. Morse. Being at the end of the hallway in the junior section, I know almost none of you, but I soon will and I'm glad that I'll be starting each morning with you guys."
A handsome and tall boy with a snapback on amongst the other boys looked at me, raised his eyebrows and smirked. Was he even paying attention?
Mr. Morse took attendance. When I heard "Park Chanyeol," my ears perked up. Several girls in the front looked back and sighed with the tone of love and admiration. One of them even clasped her hands together and brought out the puppy eyes. Amused, I follow their gazes, and see the tall boy take a hand out of his pockets and say "Yup, I'm here." This caused even more lovestruck girls to faint inside. I secretly smiled.
Yep. That's how it is. I think his case is even worse than mine.
Mr. Morse got into talking about the right learning attitude, how to succeed in his class, and other boring first-day stuff. I learned that the boy who was writing papers' name is Lay and that the girls in front were really arrogant and sassy. (I also learned that the only people they won't be mean to are me, Chanyeol, and themselves.) Class was over sooner than I expected.
As everyone filed out of the classroom, IU told me that she needed to ask Mr. Morse some questions and that she'll catch up with me later. I nod and walk out of the classroom door. Then I hear, "Hey, wait up!" I turn my head only to see that Chanyeol is now beside me. "Well isn't it the amazing, rich, famous, and PERFECT boy Park Chanyeol." I said sarcastically. He laughs. "Aren't you exactly the same but a girl?" We start walking down the hallways.
