A/N: This part's going to be a bit...fluffy. The next chapter will be better!
(CHANYEOL'S POV)
"Us?" Allie says. "There is no us. It's the first day of school."
"I know," I say. "But the other kids think that we should have something going on."
She smiles. "Because we're rich?"
I nod. "I was thinking that we could pretend."
"What? Why would we?"
"To have some fun! It's kind of boring how people aren't getting the action they want. And I'm constantly being pestered by Baek and Chen because they want me to hook up with you." She snorts. "Sure, let's do it."
"Wait, really?" I was surprised that she would actually agree. I thought that she would get the wrong idea that I actually liked her.
"I mean, why not? Aggravating Sabrina would be nice."
"Sweet," I say.
She slings her arm across my back. "Let's go, Chanyeol. People are waiting for their WISH TO COME TRUE." We both laugh.
"But remember," I say. "We're just friends. This is fake." She nods in agreement, and we head back to the cafeteria.
We walked in holding hands. People stared at us. I'm pretty sure I saw one of Savannah's friends faint. Baekhyun and Chen were jumping up and down, as restless and blissful as ever. For the next five minutes until lunch ended, everyone kept on looking and pointing. Allie and I just sat down at an empty table and talked quietly amongst ourselves. We made it seem like normal chatting but I was actually telling her about how we were supposed to act in the hallways, in classes we have together like music theory, and in other places we see each other. We also exchanged numbers. "You're taking this more seriously than I thought," she said.
"Of course! We have to make this seem real."

It's been three weeks. In that three weeks, Allie and I really grew a lot closer. We would basically spend all of our time at school together when we could, and...to be honest, she's an amazing girl. She's so nice and not at all like the rich crap you see everywhere else. She does everything for a reason and cares about the people around her.
I realized one day when I saw her laughing with IU that...she was beautiful.
I didn't understand what was happening to me at first. When she gave me fake hugs and sweet smiles, everything felt so real.
I was falling in love with her. Which wasn't supposed to happen. I was the one who told her that this was fake! What the hell is wrong with me?
That day, I stayed in my room the whole time after I got home. My mom came in to ask me what was wrong, and that usually I would be "with my rowdy friends". No matter how much I tried to shoo her away, she wouldn't leave. She knew that this Chanyeol wasn't the one that she sent off to school that morning. I loved her, but I hated her at the same time for trying to get into my personal life. When she asked me questions, I answered abruptly. I was already confused about myself and she wasn't helping at all. Then she said: "Oh and by the way, how was Mrs. Thompson?"
Shit.
"THAT'S JUST IT, MOM, I'M IN LOVE WITH HER."
She paused for a good ten seconds, but then said, "Isn't that good?"
"You don't understand. Get out."
"Chanyeol, to tell the truth, your dad and I were hoping that you two would like each other."
I looked up. "Why?"
"Well..."
"Is it because you want to me to date and later marry someone rich? You're already thinking about this?"
"Chanyeol, we just want the best fo-"
"THE BEST ISN'T WHOEVER'S RICHEST!"
"PARK CHANYEOL. CALM DOWN AND THINK ABOUT IT. Even if we didn't want you two to become close, you like her already. She is a very fine young lady and her parents are very nice and welcoming. I'm sure they would approve of you. If you like her, tell her." At that moment her phone rang, and she told me that she had an "important meeting" that she "couldn't miss or else the business will collapse."
"Chanyeol, I need you to make the right decisions. Right now. Do what's best for you and the people around you."
"Mom, I know, you're gonna be late. Go." And she left.
But she doesn't know. She doesn't know that with the fake relationship, Allie and I were already confirmed as friends. And what if the decision that's best for me isn't the one that's best for the people around me? I can't just go and say "hey I'm in love with you" because then she'll think that I used the fake dating thing as an excuse to get closer to her. Fuuuck. Normally I just ignore girls. I've only dated a few in my entire lifetime because I thought they were "decent." I've never experienced an "Allie" before.
We had the whole school fooled, and by the whole school, I mean the whole school. She was a really good actress. Everyone thought we were really in love with each other.
Too bad that we're not.
She's not.
I am.
