I am a temple of God. His Spirit and His life lives in me.
"Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;"
1 Corinthians 6:19 NIV
After Jesus rose from the dead, he spent time talking with His disciples and just before he ascended back to Heaven to be with His Father, He told the disciples something very exciting:
"On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: "Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit."" Acts 1:4-5 NIV
When you became a Christian, the Holy Spirit came to live in you! This is very special because the Holy Spirit is part of God Himself!
"And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor--Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), to be with you forever-- the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive [and take to its heart] because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He (the Holy Spirit) remains with you continually and will be in you." JOHN 14:16-17 AMP
"Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come."
2 Corinthians 1:21-22 NIV
Say - I am God's Child
- I am chosen by God and adopted
- I have been redeemed and forgiven of all my sins
- I have been justified
- I am a co-heir with Christ
- I am God's handiwork
- I am free from condemnation
- I am a temple of God. His Spirit and His life lives in me.
Prayer:
Thank You God for giving me the Holy Spirit! Thank You for the way Your Spirit is continually with me as my Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor, Counselor, Strengthener and Standby! I am so blessed!
