Rydel POV

I startef playing the chords I knew so well and heard Ross's voice through my ear piece.  "in the back of a taxi cab..."  He wasn't fully into it, I could tell.  But I knew the fans couldn't.  They didn't know him well enough.  I truly felt bad for him.  He was used to getting the girl, even ones he didn't want.  He had never been so attatched to a girl before.

I dragged my thoughts back to the concert and began singing to different people in the crowd.  then all of the sudden, I saw her.  Ross's girl.  Near the eighth or ninth row.  I finished my harmony part "oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh..." and played the final G chord then walked away, pulling my mic out of its stand as I passed it. "Hey guys!" The crowd erupted with cheering.  "I just noticed that we have someone special with us in the crowd here tonight!" The boys were looking at me, clearly confused.  I pointed at the girl in the crowd. "You in the grey sweater! Come up here and join us for our next song...'Say You'll Stay' accoustic."

Jacqueline POV

I couldn't believe what was happening.  Everyone was staring at me.  Some looking shocked, others jealous.  I looked to my right and saw Maura and Brooke jumping for joy and waving me to the stage.  Then I looked at Ross.  He was staring directly at me, as if he had just woken up from a long night's sleep.  Once I came to my senses I started walking forward towards the stage dragging my friends with me-I couldn't do it alone.  I realized there were no stairs, so i hesitated.  Ross grabbed my hands and pulled me up easily.  I looked into his eyes and in that moment, everything in the stadium stopped.  After what seemed like years, I whispered to him "So are you gonna sing, or what?"

He was stunned at how quickly the mood had changed but gave a laugh and said "Hell yea, I am!  Are you gonna join me?"

"Give me a mic." i said confidently.

As if just realizing what he had offered, he inched closer to me nad whispered "Do you know the lyrics?  The notes?  Can you carry a tune? Can you-" I cut him off.

"Ross, i said give me a mic."  I looked around to see the rest of the band shocked but laughing at the same time.  When a mic was brought to me I said "Hey!  Riker, and ellington.  These are my friends, mind if they dance on your side of the stage?"

"Of course they can!" yelled Ratliff.

"Now let's get back to the music!" Yelled Riker.

Ross POV

Now that the girl-I just realized I still didn't know her name-was on stage, hopefully I could get my focus back to the performance.  I strummed my guitar and began to sing. "It's summer time, and you are all that's on my mind..." I looked over and saw the girl next to me, smilling encouragingly.  She was gorgeous.  I noticed now for the first time that she had the cutest dimples.  When it came to the chorus I heard her sing and nearly dropped my guitar.  I wasn't used to playing with another voice, but it worked perfectly.  She was singing the exact right note (half an octave higher than Rydel) and was at just the right level to make her voice harmonize in the background but not take over lead vocals (which, with her voice, would not be difficult).  When it came to the bridge, I was looking in her eyes.  They were light brown, almost bright orange.  We were circling each other, we had natural chemistry.  On the final note it was just me and her, everyone else cut out.  Our voices went together perfectly-mine deep and raspy, hers high and smooth.  When the note ended, we just stood there.  I felt like we could look at each other forever.
