Time and fire.

Time goes on life has gotten better hurrem hatun is now in her second or third month of pregnancy and I am kept very busy with the princes. Maria's face has healed now so she dosent have to wear her scarf that covers her face. Tonight was a very important night becuase tonight was hatice sultans engagement party. The whole harem would be there. Esma had now become one of hurrem full time servants helping with the prince memhed. I divide my time between hurrem and mahiderveran sultan. The sultan will also go on campaign or to war soon. But tonight is all about Hatice sultan it's the party everybody's been waiting for no whenever anybody sees her nowadays she looks quite sad. Sometimes I wonder if there's something wrong but hopefully tonight will be the night of her dreams and wonderful party. The dancing with the wonderful tonight all the girls dress up in their finery well most of us those who are like me who are servants of the Sultanas will be dressed up quite nicely those who are not will be dressed in the most nice outfit that they can afford or borrow depending on who they ask. Also in the time that has passed a new girl named Victoria has been brought inn she is a quiet thing but I am much to busy to try and make friends with her, to me she seem like there is something wrong with her but with me being busy I have no time to notice not anymore. Mahidevran sultan it's also no longer happy as her hurrem progresses in her pregnancy she seems to become sad but I can understand now why. The girls explain to me that if a hurrem gives birth to another Prince she will become very powerful so I know many of them wish for her to have a child that's girl including sultana she does not wish for her own son to lose power. Right now I'm getting ready for the party I've been offered a beautiful yellow gown but I refused in return for a lovely burgundy gown Maria lending to me and she said she wore when she met the Sultan but she said I can use it so it's most girls around the Harem  trade and borrow each other's gowns. All of us girls cook make our way to the party room which will be in valide sultana room. The room is decorated beautifully and there's already music playing girls dancing soon as I enter and quickly bow to the Kalfas and join the other girls in dancing, no one from the royal family has arrived yet. After a while people do start to arrive more and more Hürrem and Gülnihal/ marıa arrive first. Hurrem is wearing a lovely almost orange and red gown and Maria in her beautiful purple dress Next Gülfem hatun arrıves as well After her Mahidevran sultana and Gülşah hatun her maid arrive next looking as lovely as ever. Next valide sultan arrives we all stand up for her entrance we all bow as she walks in the room and sets her self on her couch with daye hatun right beside her. All we were waiting for was hatice sultana. Finally the Saltana  arrives looking absolutely radiant though there's a sadness on her face that you can clearly see as if she's not happy with what is about to happen to her. We all quickly stand and bow to her as she walks to her spot beside her mother and the party finally begins. I stand and dance with the other girls as the part continues. After a while the Saltana's fiancé's family arrives for them we do not bow so we continue to dance and have fun. Suddenly as we are dancing aga announces the sultan has come we all scramble to our places and bow, I have never truly seen the royal family all togeather like this as well as the sultan with them so for us girls this a treat. Many girls hope they will attract the sultans attention but i know they will not. As a sultan arrives he go straight toward Valide sultana and hatice sultana in his hand a beautiful diamond necklace that he places around her neck, a present for her for the engagement party. He speaks to her but I could not hear what he said though I am sure that it's of good wishes. After a while he leaves and the party is now officially in full swing. Suddenly esma come screaming through the door " help there's a fire the princes are going to burn" . With that said everyone rise and was in shock they all ran toward the children party room. We all arrive at the party room and see smoke and flames. Seen these things terrify me boys may not be my children but I still take care of them I was worried for the safety I try to run toward the room to get them but the guard held me back. Mahidevran sultan and Hürrem hatun ara screaming for there children they both try and run into the room but sumbul aga holds them back. Even vailde sultan was held back by daye hatun as she was also trying to get to the princes. As everyone is screaming out for the prince, two young girls from the sultanas soon to be in-laws family run out covered in smoke and dust, after them another figure appears I can see for the Smokies has a girl but she comes closer to the light we can see it Victoria. She's carrying both princes and she's completely covered in smoke, she hands off the princess to their mothers and suddenly falls to the floor coughing uncontrollably I could see her hands from where I stood completely covered in burns the poor girl probably risked her life to save them. Both mother begin to smother there children in kisses checking to make sure they are ok. Vailde sultan also checks on her grandchildren to make sure no harm is come to them suddenly the sultan right around the corner we are quickly bowed he must've heard about the fire and came rushing to make sure his sons were OK. The sultan asks sumbul aga what happened and the man explains that there was a fire , but everything was ok now everyone was safe. But the peace didn't last long soon hurrem was accusing Mahidevran sultan that Şehzade Mustafa was why the fire happened. We can all see is the face of the sultans darkens he quickly yells at hurrem for her words of unkindness. Hurrem is quickly sent to her chamber with her young son and her servants her face full of fear and sorrow. Mustafa is quickly taken in his fathers arms as he is so frightened he is comforted by his father and tell him he didn't start the fire but instead protected his brother. After everything everyone turn to return to their chambers, me and many of the girls walk to harem and begun to ready for bed. I myself do you want to go near either woman I knew that sounded horrible of me but with everyone's emotions running high be better to let everybody calm down in their own ways. Next day room basically locked her self in her room not even letting poor Maria out, to make sure no harm came to memhet, Mahidevran sultan went on with her life as normal, so for once I had time to go to class.  For the next little while as the week went on I could continue to go to class for neither women needed, but by end of week the sultan was to go in campaign, which of course was not good for hurrem, all the girls in harem  heard how she has not even visited the sultan, that he hadn't even requested her before he left. I knew that the sellers will be gone for months so I need my service it would be required by her we didn't know how long he'll be gone for but we all wondered if you would make it back in time for when hurrem gave birth to her child
