And fought for peace.
Once proclaimed himself
Bigger than Jesus Christ
In terms of popularity,
Which caused a great big
Fuss among peace loving,
Good ol' Christian folks
Who broke all their Beatles records
And burnt all their Beatles memorabilia
And organized boycotts against the
Beatles and their music, because
They took his words all out of
Context like the non-violent,
God-fearing, Jesus-loving people
Are known to do when things are
Not done according to their own
Personal preferences.
Eventually, people got over it
And started loving the Beatles once more,
Who had found God in India.
Then came Yoko Ono
Who he loved
With all his heart,
Appearing naked with her
On the album cover
Of a solo record
Following the division of the group.
He remained popular
Throughout the remainder of his life,
Which was not long at all.
One cold, December morning,
The Beadle got shot
By his biggest fan.
The music world lost its
Chief of state,
And tears fell like rain.
