As much as it shames me to admit it, I grew up believing the flood story (and all bible stories). Studying the story of noah's ark was the first section of the bible where I found a lot of evidence the bible was a lie. And a lot of good jokes.

Why did it take Noah so long to build the ark? It wasn't building a boat big enough to carry every animal in existence & then loading them up onto it. It was fermenting enough grapes to last 40 days & nights.

I think the hard part for noah probably wasn't building the ark, it was picking up the animals off all the different continents.

I have to admit, I have heard the argument at one time the Earth was one large continent. Pangaea. Which is why all of the animals could have been loaded up onto the ark.

If you believe the flood story, this illustration will be a good lesson to help you strengthen your bible interpretation abilities. From noah, a patriarch and hero of the bible. This is a comic of how noah interpreted 'the word of the lord'.

7 : 1 And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.
