Life doesn't stop on two chances.
Oppurtunities keep coming. You just have to realise them.

Ryan's POV
"Ryan are you sure you don't want to accompany us?"
"No, Anna."
After I agreed to Stephen about giving the 'third chance',Anna was so happy that she literally dragged me to each and every place she visited.
And today was my second cousin's post engagement party.
I didn't want to attend.
Does that make me a bad cousin?...... I don't think so.
Instead, I decided to take a walk by the river side where papa used to take us for fishing.
****
It is so peaceful here.
Nothing has changed in these past so many years.
The memory of papa, Stephen and me fishing here is still so fresh that it seems to happen like yesterday.
The thought made me sad. I still miss him.
My life would've been totally different if he was still alive.
The thought brought back all the memories of my dark past.
I pulled my hair shaking my head to clear my thoughts.
I was returning home, my hands in my pockets and head bowed low.
I was walking by the river when suddenly someone ran and bumped into me.
It was a girl!
Everything happened so fast, she lost her balance and was falling backwards.
I pulled her by her waist towards me. Her hands resting on my chest, her blue eyes staring at me. She looked so confused and afraid.
Her face was stained with tears.
Her skin flawless, strands of dark hair scattered all over her face.
'Angel face' that's how I would describe her.
She was still staring at me as if looking through my soul.
"What happened?" I questioned her worried.
What is she doing here anyways.
She didn't say anything.
"Tell me!!" Still no answer.
I shook her snapping her out of her dreams.
"Please... save me."
At last she uttered a few words.
But, what she said triggered a bad memory.
She was in my arms.
I didn't realise we have been standing so close.
She moved away from me.
"Tell me everything....I will help you."
I reassured her.
Don't know why, I was feeling so concerned about her.
May be because she said the same words my mother used to say when her husband would beat her.
At that time, I wasn't capable of doing anything but now I won't let anyone suffer infront of me.
"They a...are...fo... following me. I..I don't want to go with them.. ..ple.. Please save..." She almost choked on her words, crying very hard.
"There she is..!! " Someone shouted.
"They... They... I don't want to go..." She stuttered again.
I understood part of what she was trying to say.
For now... I have to hide her from those men.
I pulled her with me behind a huge rock, hiding behind it.
She closed her eyes holding my hand tightly that it almost hurt.
I saw how afraid she was.
Her body was shivering and feet were bleeding.
What must have happened?
I peeked over the rock to see the men already gone in other direction.
"They're gone!" I informed her but she still didn't open her eyes.
I touched her shoulder and she backed away from my touch.
She started running away from me.
I caught hold of her hand pausing her in her tracks.
Her back was facing mine.
I spun around to see her getting uncousious. Before I could turn her completely she started falling.
I scooped her in my arms.
She looks so innocent... How can anyone do this to her?
I promise myself, I will never ever let anyone hurt her.
