Beautiful scenery, numbing silence,
She needed nothing
But memories of you were enough to take her into her own realm,
And fill her poetry with feelings.Ryan's POV
Bloody hell!! This girl has really messed up her life.
She isn't even safe to step out of the house.
According to the rumours I'm the one who kidnapped her. Bloody vermin!
I've been out for too long.
I should probably head back home. Don't want anyone to know about her,
especially Anna. I can't even imagine her reaction if she finds a girl in my room.
*****
I knocked twice on the bedroom door being careful not to be seen by anyone and entered my room.
I had told Ambily before to hide herself if someone tries to enter without knocking.
All the lights were off. There was no sign of someone's presence,
only faint sound of weeping echoed in the room.
She obviously was Ms. Crygirl, but where is she?
I kept the bags on the bed.
Following the sound I found her sitting behind the bed headboard.
I put on the light and stooped beside her.Ambily's whole face was wet with tears. Her eyes red and swollen, the tip of her nose also turned red, maybe due to constant rubbing.
She looked at me and wiped her tears with the back of her hand.
But the tears never stopped.
I could see how hard she was trying not to cry.
"What happened?" I asked her being as calm as possible, but inside I was freaking out.
I saw how vulnerable she was and still didn't want to show it.
"Nothing", she said in between her swabs.
"Than why is it that you're crying?" I asked again but got no answer in reply.
She tried to get up from her position,
I stopped her and made her look at me holding her chin.
"Please tell me?" I pleaded.
I, Ryan Smith George had never said 'please' to anyone in my entire life, she is the first person.
I don't know why I behave so differently with her,
whenever she cries I get a stranger feeling of as if someone stabbing in my chest.
I could do anything and everything to make her stop crying.
I cupped her face in my palms so that she looks directly into my eyes.
"You know... you can trust me. I will never let anyone harm you.. Please.. Tell me."
I spoke softly.
Her crying never stopped but what she did next made me feel thousands of emotions....
I don't exactly know the feel but it was really very foreign to me.
Something which I had never experienced with anyone.
She put her arms around my neck and hugged me tightly still swabing.
I was stunned for a few seconds, that I didn't even move but soon I encircled my arms around her waist and comforted her in my embrace.
"Shhh.... It's okay, you're fine now..... I will always protect you." I cooed in her ear.
"I miss my dad...mom." She cried hard.
"Ohh... It's okay Ambily. I promise I will take you back to them.
Soon you'll be going home." I assured her patting her head lightly.
We stayed like that for a minute but it seemed like a lifetime.
Finally her tears subsided.
She moved back breaking all contact between us.
"I'm sorry." She got up and walked away from me.
That was the time I felt my heart clenge.
I converged all my feelings and stood up.
Picking up the bags from the bed I called out her name.
"Ambily? "
"Yes", she turned facing me.
"Here I brought some clothes for you." I handed her the bags.
"Thank you, I needed them very badly." She said looking at her clothes, avoiding any eye contact with me.
"Say thank you if you like the dress" I said trying to lighten the mood.
"Thank you." She smiled broadly.
Taking one of the bags she went to the washroom.
*******
After a long and hectic day the room lights started hurting my eyes. I dimmed them and started working on my new project.
I was on the laptop when the door to the washroom opened.
Ambily stepped out wearing a floral dress which ended just above her knees.
I realized, the dress now looked more beautiful than it did before.
She looked very pretty and innocent, like an angel."You're starting again." She said.
"Ehhh....I..." I ranked my hand through my hair feeling awkward.
I'd never done that before.
"How do I look?" She questioned but I was in a totally different world by then.
"Ahhh... Pretty... You look pretty." I answered.
She just smiled and sat on the chair opposite to me.
"You need something?" I asked
her.
She shook her hand gesturing 'No'.
I went back to doing my work and
she went to the garden.
***
She was staring at the moon when I went behind her.
Her flawless skin was glowing in the moonlight, she looked mesmerizing.
"Ambily you can tell me, what's on your mind." She just gave me a glance and returned to staring at the moon.
"You promise to take me back home?" She questioned.
"Hmmm.... And I never break my promises." I said.
"Can you give me your handkerchief?" She put forward her palm.
"What????" What happened to her suddenly.
"Don't worry I won't cry." She said trying to smile.
"I gave her the kerchief from my pocket."
"It's clean, isn't it?" I just raised my eyebrows.
What a change of mood, this is a different Ambily right here.
This girl exactly knows how to mask her emotions.
She opened the piece of cloth.
"I'll tie your promise here." She said tying a knot at the edge of the cloth and handed it back to me.
"Please keep it with you always...and Open it only when you fulfill your promise."
I kept it back in my pocket.
"And in what way will this help me keep my promise."
"I don't know, but I feel good after doing that." She grinned in embarrassment and I chuckled.
******
It was sharp eleven at night.
I had finished most of my work and Ambily was reading a book sitting on the bed.
I informed her that we couldn't call anyone to tell about her well-being since all the phones were being traced.
"Don't you wanna rest?" I asked her.
"Ohh... Yes. I was lost in the story.
It's amazing you should read once." She said with excitement.
"Sure, but now I think you should sleep." She closed the book and kept it on the table.
"Yes, I'll sleep on the couch." She got up from the bed.
"No I'm sleeping here. You can occupy the bed." I said while adjusting myself on the couch.
"No, it's okay.. Please don't trouble yourself because of me." She argued.
"Make yourself comfortable, Ambily." I don't like arguments and this girl always does it.
"No please you're already doing soo much for me." She's so stubborn.
"You won't listen, will you?" I was irritated.
"I guess no." She just smiled.
"Fine." I agreed and went to sleep on the bed.
I gave her a blanket and pillow.
I lied down on the bed.
After half an hour she was fast asleep.
It's difficult to sleep on the couch. She has been constantly changing her sides.
I couldn't sleep leaving her by herself.
Her face was calm with no sign of any fear or sadness but she looked uncomfortable.
I scooped her in my arms carrying her to the bed.
I laid her and covered her with a blanket.
Strands of her hair coverd her face. I tucked them behind her ear and went to rest onto the couch.
