SUMYA WREN
"Ky?" I asked. He came forward to embrace me, but I put out my hand and stopped him.
"Sumya. It's me." He says, sorrow crossed his features. His eyes flashed to the other Ky and then to
me.
"Ho- how?" I stuttered. "There's, there's two?" I said more to myself then him. The Ky I was retraining turned. "Let me go! I'm the real Ky. He put me in the cockpit!"
"Oh really? Then why did he leave you unguarded and unrestrained?" I asked him.
He sighed. "We were working together."
"Liar!" The Ky across from me yelled.
"Then what's the truth?" I stare deeply, and hopelessly into the opposing Ky's eyes. He looked truthful. He looked real.
"I only remember waking up in a cell. Nothing else."
The Ky I was restraining shifted.
"Okay. Tell Sumya something only she would know." Tieyan finally pipes in. Lillia and Beatriz study what's going on and discuss silently.
I turn. "You first." I point to the Ky I was not holding.
"Happy Birthday, Sumya Wren." I shift.
"It's you!" I let go of the contained Ky and embrace the real one. Pain strikes the back of my head and spirals down my back. Black.
KY LEINAJO (The real one)
I ran to Sumya's aid. Then I stood to find the scum who posed as me. He was gone, until at the corner of my eye, I see the edge of his boot. I grab Sumya's pistol, that was originally mine.
I ran down the halls, faster than ever before. Once he is finally fully into view, I change the setting on my gun and stun him. His body falls to the floor, unconscious. He transforms into his true self. A changeling.
SUMYA WREN
I didn't believe that I was out too long. I woke up and rested on my elbow. My scar under my eye burned, but my head hurt more. I rubbed my eyes and the blurry scene came into view. Lillia and Beatriz stood towering over me, as Tieyan cleaned and aided me. I heard a stun come from a gun and instantly the realization came into view.
"So that was the real, real Ky?" I asked.
"In the flesh!" I hear Ky say as he comes from the corner of the hall with the fake Ky, now the changeling, in hand. Lillia takes the changeling.
At last I've found the person I've been wanting this whole time. Ky. His white welcoming smile greets me and my eyes flood with tears. I jump into his arms and laugh.
"I missed you!" He says, quietly.
"I missed you more." I say with a smirk. He nodded but didn't completely agree with me. As we slowly walked together hand in hand, I realized my story isn't over, it has just been reborn.
