"What do you mean 'turn to the dark side?' " I question. Beatriz shakes her head.
"Never mind." She answers.
"Do you plan on turning? Leaving everything you have for the 'dark side?' "
"I wouldn't be leaving everything..." Beatriz mumbles and shakes her head. I decide not to read her mind. I didn't want to know.
"Kylo..." I mutter. Beatriz shakes her head.
"He truly is good. I believe. I've seen it." Beatriz says and smiles slightly to herself. I think of the time I read her mind when I may or may not have punched Kylo in the face. They were laughing and smiling and they were happy.
"Then make him turn!" I say with excitement.
"I've tried...." she answers.
"When? You were a spy?"
"I asked him what would he do if he ever got the chance to switch sides. He obviously stayed. It was out of fear though, and he wouldn't leave sides without me. I hope at least." She chuckled a little to herself and I patted her hand.
"Like how you are asking me now." I say with a knowing look.
She sighs. "Yes."
"I won't turn, but I will help Kylo turn to the best of my ability." I say this and choose my words carefully. I realize she is my friend but I had suspicions before. In other words, the final battle, and her axe. It just all didn't make sense. She couldn't have killed me could she?
"Thank you." She says and continues, "For everything."
"No problem. Any ideas for our new 'mission?' " I ask with a giggle.
"Actually, yes, but you can't tell anyone about this. What stays here stays here, okay?" I nod. "Good. Okay so Kylo may or may not have a 'significant other.' " Hearing this made me gape. The Kylo Ren in love? Not realistic.
"Oh." Was all I could make out.
"He's not all dark side!" I shoot Beatriz a glare that means, "oh really?" Beatriz punches me slightly in my arm and I laugh. Then and there, I tell myself that it is not Beatriz who kills me in the final battle, but someone else. Someone I do not yet know.
LILLIA SKYWALKER
I focused on the force, as my father instructed me to do so. He wanted me to look in the future, or at least try.
"Lillia, do or do not. There is no try." My father calls to me. I lose focus. "Lillia focus."
"It's kinda' difficult when you keep scolding me every single second." I mutter.
"Well if you listen you'll do it right I won't be have to scold you!" My father says. I let out a heavy sigh and focus again.
I see an image but lose it when I hear a lightsaber ignite.
"Lillia you had it! Why did you stop?" My father asks.
"I heard a lightsaber... and Kylo Ren... ugh! I can't do this! I can't..." I say defeated. I open my eyes and frustration spills over me like boiling water.
"Yes you can! Now focus!" He says and I obey.
Once again an image begins to form. Kylo Ren fully comes to view. A stormtrooper at his side. Kylo drops his saber and destroys it.
"I will join you." He says and the stormtrooper hugs him. The image ends, a new one forms. A girl with blonde hair appears. She trains to be a Jedi with her father as I am now.
Sumya enters, breathlessly. "Hope," she says," she's gone!"
