=Dream=
"Kat I'm sorry I don't really love you,"I said looking at Kat as tears filled her eyes.
Her voice cracked broken as she tried to hold her tears in "It's fine..I just hope you find someone who makes you happy."
I stand up from the field walking away from her, I wanted her, but I couldn't have her. All cause of my parents they didn't like that she wasn't rich and successful.
She runs after me tears streaming down her face heartbreak in her voice and it hurt me to see her like that.
"Why Kaden? Why do you tell me that you love me then I just mean nothing to you? Why do you have to hurt me?"Kat asked.

I look down in disappointment "We just can't be together... They want me to be with Trish."

"It's always about what your family wants. Never about what you want,"Kat said. "Goodbye Kaden."

And with that she walked away.

=Dream Over=
I wake up contemplating what I had just dreamed. My parents had always wanted me with Trish that was what they wanted they tried but I agreed just to make them happy. I can't be like that anymore plus they're gone.
I walk out of the room heading to the kitchen I pour some cereal into a bowl eating it in silence when Trish walks in.
"Hey Kaden,"Trish said sitting next to me. "How are you today darling?"

I cringed at the way she called me darling.

"I'm fine thanks,"I said.

"So I was thinking..Maybe we should get married? I mean it's the end of the world so it seems cliche but I thought why not,"Trish said.

I look at her blankly "I don't know Trish."

"Come on Kaden,"Trish said looking at me empathetically. "Is there a reason why we shouldn't get married?"

"No.."I said sighing.

"Stop lying to me!"Trish said slamming her hands down on the counter angrily.

"About what?"I said.

"You love Kat! I can see it in the way you look at her! Plus she's pregnant with your kid!"Trish said.

"So?"I asked annoyed.

"So you love her and not me. And she loves you! Why can't you just ditch this whole act and go for it who cares what her dad says or anyone else,"Trish said.

I look at her in shock "Doesn't matter Trish she doesn't love me. Let's get married or whatever."

"Fine."Trish said. "Let's get married.

I put my bowl in the sink and walk out of the room running into Kat who had tears in her eyes I wanted to pull her in and comfort her tell her Trish meant nothing to me, but I couldn't.

"Get out of my way,"Kat said putting her hands on my chest trying to push me away, but I stand my ground she looks me in the eyes as I can see pain in her eyes.

"Now what would be the fun in that,"I said to Kat.

"Never mind,"Kat said turning around and walking the other way.

I went after her "Wait."

"What?"She asked turning to look at me.

"Trish and I are getting married you're invited,"I said immediately regretting the words that came out of my mouth.

"What is with you?! Do you just like to see me hurt?"Kat said.

"Why would you be hurt?"I said smirking.

"Come on! Are you an idiot! I love you! And I'm kinda pregnant with YOUR kid not anyone else's not with Josh,"Kat yelled.

"So why then? Why be with Josh?"I said hurt. "Why would you just up and choose him?"

"Because Kaden you told me you didn't have a girlfriend, and then you told me you did and said you guys should talk in private, held her hand and walked out!"Kat said.

"Are you kidding me?! That's it? I had to tell her about you, that I love you! Not her and that you're pregnant with my child,"I said.

"Then why are you getting married now?! Huh?"Kat yelled.

"...Because I don't know,"I said. "To let you feel what I feel seeing you and Josh. Seeing you fake that he's the dad of our kid really sucks,"I said.

"Whatever,"Kat said. "Doesn't matter."

"Come on Kat I'm sorry I really am,"I said hugging her but she pushed me away.

"Stop pretending like you care, if it weren't for this kid if there were other girls, you wouldn't even shed a thought on me,"Kat said.

"That's not true!"I said. "Look there are other girls. And you're all I can think about it makes me crazy actually the only thing I can think about is you all day everyday and every night, every hour, every second, every week, it's you on my mind. And yes we have a baby on the way and that's great and all, but I love you still and I love the kid too especially since you're the mother and not some other girl."

"Come on.. Every time we try to be together something always pulls us apart,"Kat said.

I pull her in comforting her "I love you..So so much Kat and I want you to be happy. And I think that what's best for you now is to stay away from me, be with Josh please tell everyone he's the father, I can't afford having you hurt it really is for the better."

I feel her warms tears falling down my chest.

"But Kaden.."Kat said. "I can't live without you."

"You're gonna have to Kat, for you, for the baby, just let me go,"Kaden said.

"How? Tell me how do I let you go?"Kat said pain in her voice.

"You move on,"I said gently grabbing her face to look at mine. "Really let yourself fall for Josh and not think about me, and I know it seems hard, but you don't need me I'm sure he'll take better care of you and love you so much I mean how could he not."

"Ka..Kaden what about you?"Kat asked tears streaming down her face.

"I will leave.. But I want you to know that I will always love you through every sunrise, sunset, through every waking moment that passes you by, and I want you to tell our child whatever gender it be that I love it with all my heart and soul, that I'm sorry I couldn't be around but it was for the best for you both cause I love you guys so much,"I said managing to fake a smile to comfort Kat.

"No.. Please don't leave,"Kat said.

"I know what I have to do Kat and this is it. It's for the best I promise,"I said. "I love you."

"I love you too,"Kat said burying her face into chest. "I can't live without you."

"Yes you can. And I think it's time that you finally let me go,"I said pain in my voice.
