*Abie's P.O.V*

"Abie wake up,"Izzie said shaking me awake.

I look at her trying to get my eyes to adjust to the darkness "Wh..What do you want it's like 2 in the morning,"I said trying to look for a clock in my dark room that was dimly lit by the opened door shining the hallway light into my room.

"Your dad just left,"Isabel said. "We should follow him."

"Wait really? I don't know man sleep sounds better right now,"I said cuddling into my soft warm welcoming blankets.

"Please,"Isabel pleaded.

"Ugh i'm so comfortable Izzie,"I said.

"It'll just be for a second,"Isabel said.

"So you say,"I said.

"Come onnn,"Isabel said.

"Fine, never do this again go get Kat or someone else next time,"I said sitting up and rubbing my eyes tiredly.

"Yay,also I would bring Kat but she's pregnant"Isabel said silently clapping her hands.

I follow her out to the room slipping some slippers on and a hoodie, just to keep warm.

"Okay so I heard him saying he was about to leave to the person on the phone,"Izzie said.

"What? Why are we here by the door then he's gonna catch us, not sneaky much,"I said.

"Okayyy well you're right,"Isabel said.

"Let's hide behind the couch, not a very good hiding spot, but your fault for not being prepared,"I said.

"Hey! kinda short notice,"Isabel said.

"It's not that hard to tell me that he hadn't left the building yet,"I said.

We hear a door creak open.

"Crap! Let's go hide,"I whispered running to the back of the couch with Isabel following where it would be out of his view hopefully.

My dad enters the room as he's on the phone.

"Can you hear what he's saying?"Isabel whispered to me.

"No..Shut up he'll  hear us,"I whispered back.

My dad exited out of the door and we stood up from behind the couch, and crept to the door slowly making sure it was safe, when someone entered the room I look over to see Mason.

"What are you guys doing?"Mason asked with a look of confusion.

"Nothing go back to bed negative nancy,"Isabel said.

He looked at us like he had just come to a realization of what we were going to do "Please tell me you guys aren't doing what I think you're doing?"

"No Mason we are just going for a walk it feels crowded in here,"I said.

"This place is huge how could you feel crowded,"Mason said.

"I just need.. Air. Alright don't worry,"I said.

"Okay then why is Izzie coming?"Mason asked.

"Because I don't wanna go alone duhh,"I said rolling my eyes.

"Fine go ahead,"Mason said. "Just don't do anything dumb alright?"

"No promises,"Isabel said.

"You can't tell me what to do,"I said to him.

"So you are doing something dumb!"Mason said.

"No.."I said.

"Come on Abie we won't be able to find your dad if we don't hurry,"Isabel said.

"Why are you finding your dad,"Mason questioned.

"Stop asking questions idiot I gotta go,"I said walking out of the front door with Isabel following.

Mason followed behind us questioning as we walked down the hallway to the elevator "Where are you guys going?"

"Honestly I don't know,"I said. "We are just following my dad. Okay? Like is that enough info,"I said rolling eyes as I clicked the elevator button to go down.

"It's not like we can now he's way ahead of us,"Isabel said. "We'll never find him."

"So why are you following him?"Mason asked.

"Because we wanna see the enemy I'm so curious I'm gonna literally die,"Isabel said.

"Exactly, plus it's good to know what we're up against,"I said as the elevator doors opened and we all loaded in I clicked the lobby floor.

"We aren't up against anyone, in fact all these people wanna do is reset a new world,"Mason said.

"A new world?! You realize how crazy that sounds! They're gonna kill us, cause we aren't gonna be with the people they want us to be with, doesn't that sound a little deranged?!"Isabel defended.

"Okay but it's smart! We need someone for everyone, and they want us all to repopulate with these specific people. I don't know why, but I'm honestly fine with it! We don't need to cause conflict,"Mason said.

"Easy for you to say Mason, you can just easily be with the girl my dad picked for you, because you don't have to look someone else in the eye and feel like they're your whole entire world,"I said glaring at him.

Mason looked me in the eyes his face dropping to a sad expression "I do feel that problem is she doesn't feel the same way for me."

The elevator doors opened and he walked out leading us. I didn't know he felt that way. We followed behind Mason in silence I wasn't sure what to say not in this moment. I mean I have Parley and I want Parley, and I only used him for Parley not thinking about what it would do to him.
As we enter the lobby we see my dad talking to Alex the front desk guy, we hide back behind the corner.
"Has he arrived?"My dad asked Alex in a cautious voice looking around.

"No sir, he's on his way any minute now he should be here,"Alex replied.

"Thank you,"My dad said.

A man enters the building tall, muscular, black hair.

"Have you told them,"The man asked walking up to my dad.

"I have it's done. The plan is set in motion,"My dad said.

"Good. If anything goes wrong remember you'll be the one to pay for it,"The man said.

"I understand,"My dad said nodding in agreement.

"Now this is your chance to redeem yourself,"The man said.

"You guys I don't wanna make this about me or anything, but that guy that's my dad,"Isabel whispered.

"What?!"I silently said in shock.
