Betty was keeping her head held high. When she was at school, she'd receive a lot of dirty looks from people, but she'd shake it off and ignore it. She getting ready to leave, gathering her things from her locker when Reggie and some other bulldogs walked over to her. "Hey Betty. How's life when no one cares about ya?" Reggie jokes. Betty rolled her eyes, not looking at them, continuing to get stuff from her locker. "I saw your mom in pops the other day, she seemed so happy without you." Reggie said. Again, she ignored. "How's it feel to be ugly, and unloved?" Reggie chuckled. Betty was about to say something, but then someone else did. "Hey man, you wanna get the hell away from her?" A voice said. Reggie turned around and saw Jughead. He had his serpent jacket on, "Who the hell are you?"  Reggie chuckled. "That doesn't concern you." Jughead says firmly. "I'm just asking you to leave Betty here alone." He says. "And why should I leave her alone?" Reggie asks. "Because I said so." "Well, she's a little bitch." With that, Jughead slammed Reggie against the locker, "I hear you disrespect her ever again, you'll regret you ever opened your trash moth. Understand?" Jughead said. Reggie nodded quickly, and Jughead let him go and the bulldogs walked away. "You okay Betty?" Jughead asked her. "Jug, what the hell, that was unnecessary. I don't need you to do that, I had it under control." "Oh, yeah it definitely looked like you did. He wouldn't leave you alone." "Jughead I don't need you." "You don't need me? Without me, you have no where to live!" He says, causing people to look at them. Jughead ignores the stares, keeping his eyes on Betty. "I never asked you for a place to live." Betty says. "Betty, you know what I think? I think your ungrateful. I came here because I knew you were having a hard time. So I came to check up
On you and saw he was giving you trouble, so I defended you! And your pissed off! Are you ever not dramatic?" He says. She scoffs, "Are you ever not an asshole?" She snaps back. He shook his head, "Whatever, Betty. Find your own way home." He says walking away. She rolled her eyes and walked to opposite direction.

It was getting late, and Jughead was staring to worry, because Betty still hadn't come home yet. He texted her, called her, but she wouldn't answer.
J: Hey Betty, I'm sorry about earlier.
J: I just care about you is all.
J: I don't regret defending you though.
J: but I do regret being mean to you, okay?!
He started to panic a little bit, worrying.
J: Betty please stop ignoring me!
J: I'm sorry

With that, Jugheads phone rang.
"Betty?" He says
"Hello Jughead." A man said. "Malachi?" Jughead said firmly. "I'm not Betty, but I'm looking at her right now." Malachi chuckled. Jughead froze. "What?" He says, gulping nervously.
"I have your Betty."
"You touch her and-"
"Oh, don't worry just listen to my instructions." He says.
