Hi everyone,

Not sure how many people still read this book, or will even get this message.

As of right now, it is highly unlikely that I will continue to write this book. If you want, you can create an ending to this book, leave the link to it in the comments!

I have an unfinished draft of the next chapter. It has not been edited, or finished. I will tell you how I think the story would end after this half chapter.

"Got you! Three to none. You're slow today, Bird," Rissy bragged. I pushed her foot off my chest and sat up, rubbing my aching head.

"I guess I'm just tired today. I'll be better tomorrow."

"You've said that every day for the past week. There's something wrong with you."

Yeah, maybe that I'm terrified to sleep, because every time I do, mother dearest pays me a visit?

"I'm sure all I need is a proper sleep. I should probably turn in now, I guess." I laughed nervously. "It's getting pretty dark."

"The sun's barely set. But, if you insist, we can call it off."

"I do. I'm sorry, maybe Annie will face you." Annie sent me a horrified look as I put my nunchucks away.

"Thanks, Bird." Annie whispered sarcastically as I passed her. I turned and saw Rissy circling Annie, katanas held in an offensive position. I heard metal striking on metal as I ducked into the common space of the Bounty. Cole and Jay were playing video games on the couch. As quickly and quietly as I could, I slipped past them and into the hall leading to the bedrooms.

"Hey, Bird. Come play with us, loser has to eat one of Cole's cakes."

I stifled a yawn and turned to face Kai, who was standing behind me, holding BorgBox controller.

"I'm okay-"

"Come on, it's your favorite. The Dragon Tamer, Part 6."

Okay, that one is good. It's the one where you have to get your dragon to like you and eat as many sheep as possible. But I didn't want to be around people right now.

"Sorry Kai, I'm too tired."

"Alright, if you say so. Hope my daughter didn't beat you too badly out there." He winked as he walked away, allowing me to slip into my bedroom.

I changed and slipped under the covers, with the light out. I was exhausted, but I desperately didn't want to fall asleep. Sleeping would mean another encounter with Nya.

I lay in bed for what felt like hours, fighting off sleep. I heard the door creak open and Annie and Rissy slipped in.

"I can't believe you actually beat me. Is that a first?"

"No, I've beaten you before."

"Ha, I forgot you like to joke. When was the last time you beat me?"

"Yesterday."

"No way! I totally won that one, if it hadn't been raining and I slipped in the mud, causing you to get the upper hand."

"Oh come on, Rissy. I beat you."

"Whatever. I still saved your life, and have done several times."

"And I'm very grateful, but what does that have to do with me winning a spar?"

It was suddenly significantly easier to stay awake.

"I don't know. I just didn't want you to forget it."
