"I'm leaving for work Owen!" Jamil calls out to his sleepy brother who's just now making his way down the stairs. "Lucky college students."

"Hey! I have like five exams to take today," Owen grumbles, sleepily hitting his brother's arm. "And I stayed up all night studying for them."

"What were you doing before then hm?" Jamil raises an eyebrow. Owen falls silent, then yawns. "Breakfast is on the counter, make sure you eat it."

"Is it parathas?" Owen looks at his brother eagerly.

"Yes yes, just eat it will you," Jamil laughs. He ruffles his brother's hair before leaving out the door with his SUV keys.

"Bye!" Owen calls out, waving to his brother who waves back.

"Don't forget you're coming by for volunteer work at some point!" Jamil reminds him as he gets into his car.

"I won't forget!" Owen tells him as he pulls out of the driveway.

Jamil drives over to the coffee shop that's closer to the hospital he works at. The hospital itself is at least a twenty minute drive from Jamil's home so he preferred to drive since it was quicker.

He parks in the nearby parking lots. Once he gets his coffee he would walk to work and that would be the start of his day.

The door rings as he opens the door to see the shop crowded as usual. His best friend Xian, with his black hair and blue streaks and brown eyes, comes over to him.

"Hey dude!" Xian grins, coffee already in hand. "How's it going?"

Jamil didn't know how to respond to that. Given what happened yesterday, he couldn't sleep. Knowing that he knows who Red Sport is but he couldn't help anyone with that information.

Amy would kill him within seconds. He didn't know how, but she could. Then who would take care of Owen? Jamil wasn't about to risk it.

But all those people dying because of this...

"Meh," Jamil shrugs. "Same as usual, you?"

"Eh, nothing much either," Xian shrugs, he checks his watch and his eyes widen. "Ah, my shift starts in ten minutes!"

"Dude, you've gotta hurry!" Jamil pushes his friend out the door. "You're the surgeon for crying out loud! Hurry up!"

"I'm going! I'm going!" Xian rushes out. "I'll see you at work!"

"Yeah, I'll see you!" Jamil waves, chuckling to himself as he goes into the somewhat long line. His eyes widen as he spots a familiar red head in line.

Dang it, what is she doing here? Jamil shrinks into his shirt. Ah, I can't believe my luck!

Jamil sighs deeply as he gets closer to the barista. Amy herself already got her coffee (with a lot of flirting with the barista) and is walking around looking for a place to sit.

He gets his coffee then hides out in the corner somewhere. Luckily it gives him a view of outside. The city buildings in the bright sunlight.

Jamil sips his coffee and smiles, enjoying the view. He goes on to think about the little kids that come to him. Being a pediatrician, he only took care of children but from time to time he would fill in for other people.

"You hang out in this corner too?" Jamil turns around his head, his eyes widen as he sees Amy there sipping her coffee and leaning against the counter.

"Well, not usually..." Jamil's voice trails off as he goes back to looking at the view.

"Trying to avoid me? You know, assassins hang out in the corners," Amy casually sips her coffee again.
