It's been five days.
Five days of constant searching and constant avoiding.
One by one, Owen, Sasha, and Urana find themselves forgetting little things...
...and it's hurting them.
"I..." Sasha's voice trails off as she looks at her hands that are shaky. She no longer felt like herself. She felt like a completely different person.
"Shadow...Shadow can you hear me?" Sasha calls out to her guardian. A faint silhouette of a spirit floats near Sasha.
"I can, but I can't exactly join you here," Shadow's voice is misty, exactly how Sasha remembers it.
"You have to be here! I can't...I can't remember what happened when I was younger. I don't remember-"
"The time when you accidentally ruined Vada's cloak and you thought you were gonna get punished but Vada turned out to be a lot kinder and all?" Shadow answers. "Yeah, you totally were."
"Haha..." Sasha lets out a dry laugh. "I can't remember it! There's not enough time left until we forget everything..."
"Sasha," Shadows sighs, and Sasha could see the spirit rolling their eyes at her. "You never learn. You've got friends now why don't you rely on them? You remember that stuff right, so calm down."
"I know I never learn which is why you're here," Sasha points out.
"Which is why I'm gonna leave because you're forgetting the most basic thing about magic," Shadow face palms.
"And what's that supposed to be?" Sasha raises an eyebrow.
"Oh my gosh, you are actually clueless," Shadow grumbles. "Good grief! You really don't know?"
"No," Sasha shakes her head and Shadow looks as though they're gonna flip a table.
"Every mage uses magic energy and everyone has a unique signature! Amy doesn't remember being an actual mage so she doesn't have a dampening spell on! Just find her through her magic signature!" Shadow throws its hands up in the air.
"Oh my gosh, you're right! Why didn't I think of this like a whole month ago?!" Sasha jumps up from her bed.
"Wow...you're such an idiot," Shadows rolls their eyes again. "Since my job here is done, I'm out."
"Thanks dude, you're a life savor," Sasha grins.
"That's the whole point," Shadows grins back before disappearing.
"I've gotta tell Owen and Urana," Sasha dashes our her room. She knows she'll find them at the college library so she heads straight over there.
While running, Sasha brushes right past Brenton who turns around.
"You're in a rush Sasha," Brenton notices and Sasha stops to turn around.
"Yeah...I just have to tell someone something," Sasha catches her breath, sprinting almost a mile and a half in record-breaking time.
"Must be important, I'll catch up with you later," Brenton inclines his head politely and Sasha returns the gesture. She quickly takes off again, dashing into the library and spotting Owen and Urana furiously 'debating' something.
"Don't be an idiot!" Urana waves a piece of paper.
"You're the one being an idiot!" Owen waves his own paper.
"If you two are done debating," Sasha coughs, getting their attention. "I've got good news!"
"Which is?" Owen and Urana turn their heads to look at her, the librarian backs off.
