Owen walks into his home, pondering about how Amy could possibly have come in contact with Jamil.
Truth be told, he felt uncomfortable knowing that his two worlds have made contact. Also, he knows for sure that Jamil would fall for her. Their personalities complimented each other so it just made sense to him.
Not that it's a bad thing but ever since magic came into his life, things have been crazy and uncertain and Jamil certainly didn't need more drama in his life.
"Bhai! I'm home!" Owen calls out, taking off his shoes and then stepping onto the carpet.
No answer.
"Guess you're working the night shift," Owen guesses and then goes over to the fridge. He opens it and sees that there is nothing really there.
"Good. He isn't stressing out over making dinner, I'll make some," Owen nods his head then takes out ingredients.
He spends an hour cooking then sets some aside for his brother. Owen goes through the small hallway and into his room. He changes out of his clothes and into an old t-shirt and pajamas.
"Life is WAY too complicated," Owen sighs. "We've always had an adult to sort out things but now it's up to us."
He closes his eyes and takes deep breathes. Owen reaches over for his phone only to realize that he didn't have Urana's number here.
"Unbelievable, how did I not get their numbers?" Owen sighs and throws his phone onto his bed.
I just need some sleep...hopefully everything will get better tomorrow, Owen hopes as he buried himself underneath his covers.
--
"End of the city, I'm gonna go up first," Amy climbs up a ladder and slowly opens the man hole. "It's all clear." She gets up and extends her hand out to help Jamil up.
"Thanks," Jamil looks around. "Where to now? I have some friends who could give us a place to stay."
"No need. They'll find us there, we need to go somewhere no one will ever suspect us going," Amy replies.
"Where's that exactly?" Jamil questions.
--
"A motel. You know, this is really starting to feel like a movie...a really bad movie of two people on the run," Jamil blinks as he looks at the small little motel in the middle of multiple better looking motels.
"It basically is at this point," Amy grins. "C'mon, I'll get us a room for the night."
The two of them walk inside to a generally clean area and a small desk with a grumpy lady there.
"Oh my gosh, it's the receptionist at the hospital," Jamil's eyes widen and Amy growls.
"Oh great," the grumpy lady looks up and rolls her eyes. "It's you idiots. Get out, I'm not dealing with whatever's going on."
"Listen here missy," Amy takes out her knife. "You're gonna give us a room or I won't hesitate to use this knife on you."
"Amy, be nice!" Jamil calls out behind her.
"I am!" Amy replies, putting the knife away because the lady is going to get a key.
"You threatened her with a knife!" Jamil points.
"Well, yeah, but I didn't stab her," Amy shrugs innocently as the grumpy lady throws a disgusted look at them while handing Amy the keys.
"Leave as soon as possible, I smell trouble from you," the grumpy lady growls.
