We Meet Again Chapter 3

The next day, You slowly woke up, went downstairs and began to make yourself some breakfast. Sonic came into the kitchen rubbing his eyes.

"Morning Y/N."

"Morning Sonic."

"Did you sleep ok?"

"Yeah."

"That's good."

"Are the others asleep still?"

"They must be." A little bit later, everyone woke up, ate breakfast and began to relax.

Suddenly, there was a big explosion coming from outside and then they heard some people screaming in fear.

You and the others ran outside to see what was going on. When they arrived they saw only Shadow there. You were surprised to see him again.

"Well well. We meet again." Shadow said.

"We stopped you once and now we will stop you again!" Sonic said.

"That won't be necessary." Shadow said. Everyone was confused.

"My business is with her/him." Shadow pointed at you.

"M-Me?" Y/N asked.

"Why her/him!?" Amy asked.

"I want to see how tough s/he really is." You gulped silently.

"You can do it Y/N." Tails said.

"We're right here when you need it." Amy said.

"What's happening right now?" Knuckles asked.

"S/he's gonna battle Shadow." Sonic said.

"Oh."

"I wanted to rip his ears off and feed them to the goats!" Sticks said. Everyone was confused.

You slowly walked towards Shadow.

"I highly doubt you can defeat me." Shadow said.

You got your powers ready and began to attack him.

Shadow dodges and throws his Chaos Spears at you. You barely dodged it and began to fly. Shadow threw another Chaos Spear at you and this time it hit you.

"Ahh!!!" You suddenly crashed into the ground. Everyone except Shadow gasped. You slowly got up and summoned icicles towards him. He dodged all of them except for one.

"Ugh!" Shadow fell backwards. Everyone cheered for you but it wasn't over yet.

Shadow summoned Chaos Blast making you fall over. Before you could get up, Shadow began to freeze time.

When everyone was not moving, Shadow kicked you and punched you making you hit your face on the ground.

When time was no longer frozen, Y/N moaned in pain. Shadow looked at you.

"Done yet hero?" Shadow asked. You slowly got up again and looked at him.

Your hands began to glow blue again as you were about to attack Shadow again. But something stopped you. Something in your heart. It was pounding fast.

"Y/N! What are you doing!? Finish him!" Amy said.

You suddenly couldn't move for some reason but then Shadow came towards you and punched you so hard that you went crashing through a nearby building.

"Y/N!" Sonic shouted as the others went to you.

"Hmph. Heroes..." Shadow said as he teleported.

"We have to help her/him." Amy said. Everyone agreed and ran off to find you.

"Do you guys see her/him?" Sonic asked.

"There s/he is!" Amy said as you sat up, groaning in pain.

"Y/N?" You slowly turned your head and looked at Tails who was speaking to you.

"Are you ok?"

"I-I don't know Tails. I couldn't do it. I failed. I failed everyone. I...I let him escape. I don't know what happened with me. I'm sorry."

"It's not your fault. Many people make mistakes. Don't blame yourself. You'll always be our friend no matter what."

"Thanks Tails."

"You're welcome." You and Tails hugged each other for a bit. The others helped you up as you tried to stand up straight.

"Are you ok Y/N?" Sonic asked.

"Yeah. I'm ok."

"Come on. Let's go home and rest." Sonic said.

"Alright."
