A Secret Hangout Chapter 6

A few days later, when your leg was starting to feel a lot better, you decided that it was time to visit Shadow.

Today was your lucky day because everyone else was busy doing their own thing so they wouldn't noticed your disappearance again.

When you arrived in the woods, you looked around for Shadow but your couldn't see him.

"Shadow! I'm here! Where are you?" What you didn't know is that Shadow appeared behind you. Shadow whispered in your ear.

"Boo." You screamed in surprised as you turned around. Shadow chuckled a little.

"You almost gave me a heart attack!"

"It was funny though."

"For you!" A little later, Shadow gained his confidence again and looked at you seriously.

"So tell me, why do you want to hang out with me? What do you see in me that no one else does?" You froze for a minute as you looked at him.

"Well...um...after you saved me, I get the feeling that there might be some good in you. I wanted to make you feel that you belong here."

"Is that so?"

"Yeah. I believe that you could change. I believe that there's something special about you." Shadow didn't say anything for a while.

"You really do care huh?"

"Of course I do." Shadow looked next to him and saw a lake.

Shadow smirked as he looked at you. You looked at him confused.

"What?" Shadow suddenly pushed you into the lake.

When you were in the surface, Shadow laughed a little while you glared at him.

"Oh yeah?" You grabbed Shadow by the chest and dragged him towards the lake.

Shadow gasped for air and then he glared at you. You giggled at his reaction.

Shadow's glare soften when he saw you giggle. Shadow smiled and began to splash you.

You splash back and you were both laughing and having a great time. Later, you and Shadow got out of lake and looked at each other.

"That was fun." Y/N said.

"Yeah...it was." Things started to get quiet as you looked at each other with a little blush.

"I better get back. I'll see you tomorrow?"

"Yeah..."

"Bye Shadow."

"Bye." You smiled at him as you flew home.

Later that night, when everyone is asleep, Shadow opened your window quietly, trying not to wake you up. When he got in, He went through your stuff looking for clues.

"I have a feeling that s/he's just trying to trick me and/or use me just to play with my feelings so that I wouldn't kill her/him. We'll just see about that. I'm gonna kill her/him one way or another." He whispered to himself.

While he was looking through your stuff, a book suddenly fell on the floor. Shadow looked down, picked it up and looked at it.

"Y/N's Diary/Journal?" Shadow looked at it for a minute, turned his head to look at you and then he looked at the book again.

"Hmm..." Shadow opened the first page and began to read it.

'Dear Diary/On this day, Today was a normal day at the Sonic Boom home. Everyone was doing their own activities until a citizen yelled for help. Me and my friends went to take care of the situation.'

'And as always, Eggman had to show up. Ugh! Doesn't he ever give up!? But this time, he was not alone, he had a new helper to join his team. He was a black hedgehog with red stripes.'

'His name was Shadow The Hedgehog. When I first saw him, I didn't believe myself at first but...I felt love at first sight. He was so handsome. His looks, his voice, his attitude and personality. Ohh it was just perfect. His fighting moves were incredible!'

'I know he's a villain and I'm a hero but I had a feeling that maybe someday he could change. I hope no one finds out about this.'

Shadow blushed a little as he went to the next page.

'Dear Diary/On this day, Today I saw Shadow again. Only this time, he wanted to battle me. I didn't know what to say. Why me though? Between you and me, I didn't really want to hurt him. So we fought for a while and I gotta say that he is very strong, fast, and tough.'

'I was shocked to see that he wasn't even tired. He looked at me, waiting for some action. But right before I was about to attack, I saw something in his eyes. It looked like...pain, sadness, and a little bit of guilt. I could tell that something inside him was telling him that this is wrong.'

'I couldn't hurt him after seeing this. I just couldn't hurt him. He seemed shocked when I didn't hit him. I wonder what he's thinking.'

Shadow decided to read one more page.

'Dear Diary/On this day, After Shadow saved me from the wolves, I wanted to get to know him better. I asked him if he wanted to hang out. He said yes which totally surprised me. A few days later, we met in the forest and had a great time together.'

'We splashed and laughed in the lake. I'll admit, he did look cute. I don't know why I feel this way but it sure feels different. I've also never seen him smile before. It was like that was his first time smiling in years.'

'Every time I see him or near him, my feelings for him grew stronger. I wish I can tell him how I feel but I doubt he would feel the same. He doesn't look like a loving type. But I don't care. I will always love him no matter what.'

Shadow was shocked from what he just read.

"S/he...likes me?" Shadow looked you again and saw that you were sleeping peacefully with your drawings in your hands.

Shadow sets the diary/journal back in your hiding spot and walks towards you while looking at the pictures.

He looked at them and saw that they were a picture of you and him. Shadow blushed a little as he looked at them.

Shadow sighs quietly as he walked towards the window, climbing out, and then he ran off.
