A Dogs Bite (Dotsuku x Reader)

The Dog and the Chicken

(Y/n POV) 

 'Think think think (Y/n)' I screamed in my head as I was falling from the sudden explosion. I gasped as an idea came to mind and i looked towards one of the beams that were holding up the building and decided to and stabbed my Cockscomb into the beam causing me to roughly, but slowly stop falling. I was breathing heavily as I watched a few people fall further down, specifically Boar and Rabbit. I looked over to my right and noticed a stair well entrance towards just past these few offices. I just thought about it... How many people work here for all these floors of offices to be here? No now isn't the time to think about that I need to get out of this building. I start to swing myself to gain some momentum to hook my legs over the railing so I can hook myself on to them an use the railing as a stool for me to pull my Cockscomb out of the beam.  "Okay now one... two...three!" I yelled as i managed to land my butt on the railing and causing me to cringe a it from the sudden stiff object on it. 'Okay now I need to get my weapon free. I'm sure a good tug should break it free.' It sounds easier thought out then done. I had to lean over the railing and started to pull on my weapon till it was free causing me to stumble back a bit before checking my surroundings. Luckily nobody was around so I made my way into the stairwell and looked down to see if anybody was down there. Nobody, good now to check the surrounding area. I closed my eyes and soon enough i was able to scan the areas near the tower. I think I saw white blur dash across the street. I saw Rat and Monkey make their way into... the sewers? That's strange... Boar and Rabbit are still in the building I'll make sure to keep a bird near them to make sure I keep my distance. I've heard tales of how she was trained to be an amazing killer. So far nobody is in my escape route so I guess I'll head down now. The walk down was long  but soon enough I finally made it. On my way down I heard a strange sound in the air vents but luckily there was nobody nearby. I soon reached a door that lead to a parking garage. Wow, so many fancy cars... I ran over to a car as quietly as possible to analyze the area. With the fewer amount of birds in the area my ability to watch the others is rather limited. I heard a few bumps in the air vent above me and start to move. I can feel my heart beat even faster as I scrambled behind the car and peeked out to watch vent. Sure enough it was pulled off and I noticed that It was the Dog guy. "Yep I figured this place was abandoned"  He said as he scanned the area. Okay maybe if I don't move he will not see me. Soon I had watched him hop down and moved my head back behind the car as I heard quiet footsteps rapidly make their way towards me. He stopped next to me and let out a sigh. "And now to lay-" He stopped speaking when he looked over at me and I instantly freeze up. There was a tense silence between us before I hopped back and pointed my Cockscomb at him while he flipped back in a battle position on all fours bearing his teeth. "Dotsuku, Zodiac of the Dog, killing by biting!" He growled out while I cleared my throat a bit before speaking up "(Y/n), Zodiac of the Chicken, killing by pecking" I stated as i slightly took a step back. As I finished he instantly lunged at me and i instantly dodge over the car before looking behind me and  i instantly found the dog charging at me. I looked around and noticed I have no birds down here since most of them are outside. Is this where I'm going to die?  No wait maybe i can talk him out of killing me maybe... "H-Hey wait a sec-" My statement was cut short as I was tackled onto the ground and was about to bite my neck. "W-WAIT WE CAN BE A T-TEAM!" I yelled out causing him to stop right as his fangs were barely on my neck. "What are you talking about what's the point of teaming up with someone I don't even know. How would i even know if you were going to stab me in the back with your damn pitch fork" He growled into my ear as I shuddered from the sudden warmth. "A-As you can tell you could easily over power me so me back stabbing you is v-very unlikely besides I can keep an eye out for any of the others with my birds!" I brought up quickly as I felt like I had made a good point. "Be-Besides two are better than one right?" I added in hopes it would sway him. He lifts his face up and stares at me for a moment. I put on a nervous smile before he looked away quickly. He stood up and I took quite a breath of relief as I leaned up and looked up at him as he was scanning the area. "Well it doesn't seem like anyone is down here..." He stated as he looked back at me. He had a confused expression on his face when he looked at me before speaking up. "So are you just going to stay on the ground or something? I we cant really... work together with you on the floor." He stated. "O-Oh your right one second" I laughed a bit nervously as i propped myself up with my Cockscomb. "Alright so you said can get  a view on everyone in the city right?" He asked. "Well not everyone, there is a limit due to the lack of birds in the cities nowadays. But i do have a few that were watching people that we should avoid, such as Ox and Rabbit." I said as I closed my eyes and held up my finger. The bird I had sent to keep an eye out on Rabbit and Boar was still there. "...Boar was killed by Rabbit... But something is holding her. Wait a second that body doesn't have a head isn't that the dead guy?" I spoke up in shock. "Wait how can a dead body move on its own that doesn't make sense at all" Dotsuku responded with confusion laced in his tone. "Wait... Boars eyes became just like Rabbits... I think Rabbit can make zombies of anyone he kills!" I shouted, causing Dotsuku to cover my mouth quickly. "Keep in mind your voice travels this place is pretty empty and last thing we need is that psychopath coming down here." He said quietly. 'He's right I shouldn't really be yelling last thing i needs is for him to silence me by biting me...' I nod to him before switching to different birds and tried to figure out where exactly everyone else was. " I saw horse run into some type of bank by himself, but it seems like he's been in a fight with a wound. I see ox just walking around the city... I think we should steer clear of the natural born slayer there..." I stated warily earning a grunt of agreement from Dotsuku. "Other than that I can't really see anyone else I'm sorry" I said before opening my eyes back up. "That's enough information for us I was planning to lay low until everyone else had died from the poison, but i guess if we are going to be a team I should try to help you out so lets get moving." He said as he began to walk towards the opening leading to the outside. "Wait wont you die from the poison too if you had laid low?" I questioned before he turned around with a sly smile. "Well if I hadn't came up with a way to nullify the poison then yes I would have died at the twelve hour mark." He stated with a hint of smugness in his statement. He turned around and reached the exit and instantly began to look around before signalling me to come up. "Wow that's pretty cool Dotsuku and... thank you I appreciate your help a lot." I said with a smile on my face. I noticed his ears twitched a bit before he scratched the back of his neck a bit. "Yeah no problem." He responded quickly before we made our way to a nearby tram station. He instantly began to scope out the area from a higher point of view as we arrived. 'He's very cautious, not that I blame him. Everyone is out to kill, well except Monkey I hope.' "Hey you said that your ability is weakened in the city right?" He asked as he walked over towards me. "Yeah there aren't a lot of birds in the city tonight." I answered before sighing. I really wish there were more around. "Would you need like a strength boost to be able to expand your range of control over them?" He asked instantly. I felt a little nervous from the question a bit but reluctantly nodded. He grunts and grabs my arm quickly before reaching his mouth over it. "W-Wait I thought we were a team!" I quickly shouted as I tried to pull my arm free. "Calm down I'm not going to kill you it's a bit of a... pick me up, do you not trust me?" He asked side eyeing me. I won't deny that I'm still a little nervous around him considering I know little to nothing about him but i slowly nodded. "I- I do trust you." I finally said before he nods. Soon enough he bit into my arm and i dropped my Cockscomb to cover up my mouth so I can suppress the scream of pain from the bite. I felt a tear jerk when his teeth bit into my arm and soon enough the pain began to quickly subside and I felt an... odd tingly sensation. "Wh-What did you do to me, I feel weird..." I stated. He rose his head up and wiped the blood of his mouth and looked down at my arm before leaning back down to clean the bite mike by licking it up. I instantly squirmed from the touch before pulling my arm back when there was no blood in sight. "I gave you a boost that I would like to call One Man Army. I don't only make poison but I can also make a drug that could increase  your range of control over the birds." He stated. "And by the way I was just cleaning the wound, it would be pretty gross to just leave blood on your arm to dry wouldn't it?" He questioned with a sly smile on his face. "It's still weird to have someone lick it clean you know..." I responded causing his ears to flinch a little before he looked away. "Yeah I guess that can be a little weird" He grumbled. "But thank you anyways again Dotsuku." I said as I smiled. "You say thanks to much you know that." He groaned but mutter a quiet "No problem". I closed my eyes and saw that a bird has spotted the headless corpse heading in our direction on the streets. "Hey Dotsuku we have trouble headless snake on the way." I spoke up. His ears seemed to be pointed up as he nodded. "I figured I heard something on the way got any plans on how to handle it?" He asked before a smirk graced your face. "I think I have a good plan in mind."

And there goes chapter two! I really hope I can keep this up a bit I'm sorry for if anyone is upset from how I'm writing it but like I said I'm not really good at this type of stuff anyways I hope you enjoyed it!
