Am I mad at Millie? No.

Am I mad at myself? Yes.

I always do this. I thought she liked me but I was wrong. She obviously only likes me as a friend. I always get ahead of myself.

Instead of going to the movie with Millie, I invited Sophia, Jaeden and Noah to come over so we can have our annual pre-halloween football game.

They all start coming over and we start playing the game in my backyard. Sophia and I have a 3 year winning streak. We cannot give this up now!

We're halfway through the game and Sophia and I are winning.

"Finn, your phones ringing." Jaeden yells.

I go and pick it up. Its an unknown number

"Hello." I say

" Hello, Finn. This is Mrs Brown, Millie's mother. Millie's in the hospital . She got in an accident. She hasn't woken up yet but i think you should be here when she does. I know you two have become close over the past few weeks."

"Okay." Is all I say.

I hang up.

"Okay guys, let's keep going." I say.

"Who was that?" Sophia asks.

" it was Millie's mom. She said Millie's in the hospital."

"So why aren't you going there?" Exclaims Sophia.

" Because it's probably just another stupid way to find out my fear and right now i really need some space from her." I say.

"This isn't a joke Finn." Sophia says seriously. " I know Millie, she wouldn't something like this."

Realization suddenly washes over me. Millie would never do anything like this, Sophias right.

" Sophia can you drive me there." I ask.

"Of course."she says .

We both run to her car.

"We need to stop at Wal-Mart first." I say.

"Millie is the hospital and you want to go to Wal-Mart?!"

"Sophia just drive!" I exclaim.
