Sophia's POV

Dad dropped me and Marcus off. We waved goodbye and he drove off right in time. Three boys walked up to us and put there bottom lip out and whimpered. then laughed.

"If it isn't daddy's little puppy and he protector dog" they said.

"Ignore them" Marcus said.

"What's the matter? Doggie can't talk today" they laughed.

"Shut up" I growled.

"Oh doggie has a attitude today" they said.

"I said SHUT UP!!!" I yelled.

"Hey around here I make the rules" the tallest one said.

"You wanna bet" Marcus said getting in font of me.

"You want to go boy" he said.

"If your going to make fun of me best friend then yes" Marcus replied.

"No don't do it" I yelled and the minute I ran in front I got punched right in the eye. I fell to the ground a Marcus soon to follow.

Great I thought, how do I a black eye from my dad. The boys laughed and kick Marcus on the leg. Great we are late for class, I thought. I tried to open my eye and it was fuzzy then clear. Marcus was up already but grasping his stomach.

"I'm sorry. I should of just blew it off. I just hate to see them treat you like that" he said helping me up.

"It's fine. But now I have a black eye and unless I come up with a story I have to tell my dad the truth" I said.

"What I thought you said you told him"he said.

"Yeah I've told a lot of people that. but I've never had the courage to tell him. Come on we need to get to class" I said.

Marcus nodded and handed my his sunglasses to cover my eye.
