"That's kind of cheesy dont'cha think ?"

I sighed .

How could he say that ? He thought it was cheesy . I rolled my eyes as I lay on my back , staring at the ceiling . My phone started to vibrate , it was a text from Danie ;

Danie- 'GET UP' it read .

I called her instead . She answered on the third ring , "You're up" She said happily into the phone . I smiled , "I mean you did kind of yell at me through text" I told her laughing . She giggled .

"Whats up ?" I asked . She cleared her throat . "Well .." She started . "Me and Devin decided that we'd go to Miami for a week or so" She explained . "Okay" I said confused . She sighed .

"I invited Keenen , but Devin says that it wouldn't be fair if he doesn't have anyone to bring" She explained . "I told him to invite one of his little girlfriends or something" She said . I winced , girlfriends ?

"Mhm" I said , so she'd know I was listening .

"He said they were to clingy , So I told him oh well" She started again . "He asked me if he could atleast take one of my friends , so I volunteered Kelly" She said . I rolled my eyes , Kelly ? Really ? "Well he just about said no to everyone and it was fustrating me" She said . "So he came up with this bright idea .. he asked if we could bring you" She said happily .

"Wha-" I started . "Really ?" I asked . "Yes!" She squealed , "Come on Jor , pleeease say ye-" .

"I'll have to ask my mother" I said cutting her off . "What ? OH .. well that was easy" She said amused . I cleared my throat . "I just wanna get out of the house yunno ?" I told her quietly . She chuckled .

"She said YES Deviiin !" She sang into the phone . I swallowed , "I'll um .. call you once i've asked my mom" I told her nervously . "Kay" She said hanging up . I just lay there . Miami for a week ? I sighed .

I rolled out of bed , not bothering to put on any bottoms . I wore a long jersey that reached my knees . I stretched my limbs and walked to the bathroom . I brushed my teeth and washed my face . Once I finished , I walked downstairs slowly . Finally reaching the kitchen , my mother was stirring sugar into her coffee cup .

She had on this ugly yet comfy looking pink robe , she wore her black bedroom slippers . "Hey" I called to her . She turned her gaze to me , smiled her dimpled smile , and said ; "Hi" . I smiled back , "How'd you sleep ?" I asked honestly .

"Well" She started , she sipped her coffee before continuing . "Drake stole the covers again" She chuckled . I didn't laugh nor grin with her , Her smile faded . I walked over to the fridge to grab an apple , she watched me . "Honey ?" she asked . I closed the fridge door and turned to her . "Hm ?" I asked .

"It'll get better .. I promise" She told me . A sad smile formed on her face . I nodded my head , letting her know i'd understood . I went over and stood besides her . She turned her full body to me .

"Mommy ?" I asked . She blinked , I hadn't called her that in years . She didn't answer , so I continued . "Is it ok if I go to Miami with Danie and Devin ?" I asked . She slowly put her coffee cup on the counter . "You should ask Dra-"

"Don't you dare say it's name" I told her through gritted teeth . She didn't flinch . I glared at her . "Then you obviously don't want to go" She told me , she was smiling . Something came over me , I couldn't help what came out of my mouth next ;

"You stupid cunt !" I screamed . She flinched then , so I continued . "Drake isn't and never will be my father , you're such a fucking pushover ! You let everyone that's been between your legs tell me how to run my life !" She was silent . It was pissing me off .
