His Girlfriend ?

"Oh my god Jordan" My bestfriend cried . "She slapped you ?" She asked with a disgusting look on her face . "She's no different from James !" She yelled even louder . I sighed . "I totally said the same thing" I whispered .

James was the sick bastard who'd almost taken my life 9 years ago . I shuddered at the memory . "So like .. What're you gonna do ?" I heard my bestfriend whisper to me . I turned my gaze to her with a sad expression .

"I'm not sure Danie" I whispered back . She sighed , came towards me , and wrapped her arms tightly around my neck . I hugged her waist while my head rested in the crook of her neck . "My mom can help you" She said quietly . I breathed a sigh of relief . "Thanks Danie Wanie" I told her jokingly . She scoffed and pushed me away .

"Ew" She said rolling her eyes . I laughed . We were in Danie's room . We'd just settled in when she'd started attacking me for answers , which she claimed I wasn't giving fast enough . "Anyway" She started .

"Let's not worry about that right now . We should be screaming our asses off about Miami !" She said excitingly . I rolled my eyes , "When do we leave ?" I asked uninterested . My mind was elsewhere .

She just stared . "You make it seem like you dont want to go ." She barked back . I snapped my head towards her , she was frowning as she crossed her arms . I sighed , "Sorry Dan , it's not that .. really it's just .. I-I'm really nervous about what'll be waiting for me when I do get home ." I told her . Her face softened .

"I just got through ranting about how we wouldn't worry about that right now ." She said in an agitated tone . I sighed , walked over to my suitcase , and grabbed my pajamas . I walked to her door and headed towards the bathroom .

She clearly doesn't get it . I thought to myself as I walked towards the bathroom . "I can't bring you babe sorry , my sis is making me drag some random girl with us .. No . No babe she isn't even pretty ." I over heard Devin say through his cracked bedroom door . I stopped dead in my tracks . Devin was on the phone with someone by the name of babe , and he was talking about me to her .

"Isn't even pretty" .. Really ?

"Babe , I gotta go , I-"

I walked away before I could hear the rest . I could physically feel my heart in my throat . My eyes watered , I closed them tightly and opened them again . Once in the bathroom I closed the door quickly behind me , making sure to lock it .  Devin really said that didn't he ? He told her I wasn't pretty , he killed me without even knowing it .

Why'd I let that hurt so much ? He's the one who asked if HE could bring ME ! How could he even say those things , why'd he ask for me if he has a girlfriend .

I turned the water on quickly and got in . I let the water run over me freely , it felt wonderful . Didn't quite cure the pain in my heart , but it relaxed my muscles . I stayed that way for about thirty minutes .

"Jor ?" I heard Danie call . "Jor ! you alright ?" She asked again . I turned the water off quickly . "Yeah Dan , i'm coming out now" I yelled back . She didn't reply .

On my way downstairs after i'd finally finished , Danie and Devin were in the kitchen chatting incoherently . They'd stopped talking as I approached . "What's up ?" I asked Danie , not even bothering to look at Devin .

"We were trying to decide when would be the best time to leave ." Danie answered as she approached the refridgerator . Devin sat on the counter as he ate an apple . He was staring at me . I walked over to where the stools where , making sure to sit as far from him as possible .

"We were thinking either tomorrow , or tonight ." Devin told me as he chewed his apple loudly . I nodded , letting him know I understood . "Is that okay ?" He asked cocking his head to one side . "Well which one is it Devin ? Tomorrow or tonight ?" I asked sharply . Both Devin and Danie raised their eyebrows questioningly . I swallowed .
