Without anyone noticing or any problem occurred, the three days came and went. As the sun rose from its slumber, all of the residents on the island of Berk, from its vikings to the honored guests, woke up with excitement. They rushed out from their house and rushed to their daily routine like any others. However, most of the time, their attention was placed toward the icy domain that the Dragon Master had hidden in.
Their eagerness oozed out in everything that they do, glimpses were taken every few seconds hoping that the Dragon Master would show himself once again. As those eagernesses continued to grow, the village virtually ground to a halt. Chaos and mishave would occur everything someone wanted to do something productive.
"As this rate the island would be destroyed from this distraction alone." Stoick sighed.
"Look on the bright side, Stoick. Everyone finally has something to be excited about and just images the Dragon Master joining the Race." Gobber answered with a slight chuckle.
"I guess you are right Gobber, but I just hope that the Dragon Master would show himself soon. Otherwise, we are not going to get anything done."
"Yer right about that one. I couldn't even hammer a bloody sword straight from all the excitement."
The two grown men continued to look toward the icy domain. Suddenly, a shadowy figure shot straight toward the sky at an incredible speed. The whole of Berk immediately turned their attention toward the spectacle as the figure dove and spun, even threw in some summersault. All of it happened to the cheers the countless vikings.
Even Astrid could not take her eyes off of the sight. Despite being able to do it herself, there was just something about the two of them that made it just so much more better.
"You ready to wow them, bud?" Hiccup asked on top of Toothless.
However, the dragon just had a worrying expression on his face before reluctantly nodded his head. Seeing the sign of agreement from Toothless, Hiccup reached for a lever that he had built that would allow Toothless to glide independently from Hiccup. Both of the dragon and rider ready themselves. Without much warning, Hiccup just slipped off of his seat and plummeted toward the ground with Toothless following closely behind.
Such a sight left the vikings gasping in shock. However, their shocks turned into astonishment as Hiccup reached down to his ankle and deployed what seemed like dragon wings. Instantly, to the vikings, Hiccup was flying alongside Toothless circling the island without much worried. Thanks to Toothless and the countless stream of small explosions that allowed Hiccup full control as he did a final lap around the island before landing gracefully in the middle of everyone.
Before he could do anything, he was immediately swarmed by a pack of vikings, who cheered endlessly.
"You have your fun, now go back to work." Stoick said powerfully. "As for you... That was quiet an entrance."
"Thank you, Chief." Hiccup answered politely before scanning the remaining crowd. There were only the Chieftain and Chieftess and a few selected individuals that would represent the remaining vikings as the crowd walked toward the main hall. His eyes search for her, his mysterious blonde. However, to his disappointment, she was not there.
What he did not realize was that his mysterious blonde was watching from start to finish as she leaned against one of the trees in the distant. Her eyes ever trailing him until it laid upon the nightfury that the Dragon Master rode on. The waddle that it made and its curious nature put a crooked smile of Astrid's face. However, the moment that she laid her eyes on the nightfury tail, her heart almost dropped. His left tailfin was gone and in its place was an artificial one, just that nightfury all those years ago.
