My fight against Breast Cancer

I'm Payton Green. I live in Seattle and I work at the Seattle Grace hospital in Seattle. I'm a nurse. It's not an easy job but I love doing it. It's long hours and I sometimes work during the night. I'm 30 years old. Never been married or have any kids. I'm single at the moment. Still looking for my Mr. Perfect. Which isn't easy cause of my long hours of working. 

I live with my best friend Kayla Torres. We share an apartment that is near the hospital and also near her work. She owns her own bar. It's just a few blocks away from the hospital. Which is doing well for her. Most of the doctors and nurses that works with me hangs out there and most of the people around that area also hangs out there and it is doing very well. The bar is called Torres Pub. 

I'm not originally from Seattle. I moved here when I got the internship at Seattle Grace hospital. I'm originally from Phoenix, Arizona. I lived there my whole life, so Seattle was pretty new and big for me at first. But I got used to it the more I lived here. 

My parents past away a few years ago in a terrible accident. They both were killed in a supermarket when someone robbed it. They were hold as hostages and the robbers who held them there shot them both. Which was hard for me to get through. I was in Seattle when it happened but went back for the funeral. I'm the only child. So my only family is Kayla at this moment. She is all I have that is close to family.   

Kayla has a big family. She is the only child but she has many cousins and a big family on her dad's side. And they were rich. Very rich. They bought Kayla the bar and the apartment. Her apartment is pretty big though. I moved in there with her 5 years ago. She was lonely and she was looking for a roommate. I just moved here and started the internship when we met. And I decided I'll just do it and move in with her. Since I was new to Seattle and needed a place to stay. And I don't regret it even one bit. We get along very well and we became best friends. 

I have another friend that works with me at the hospital. We became quite close with the 5 years working together. We get along well and I do consider her as one of my best friends too. But we're not that close like Kayla and I are. Like with Kayla I can talk to her about anything on this planet. But with Cora not so much. I share some of my problems with her. Cora Harris. She is also a nurse at the hospital. We met in our first year at Seattle Grace and we just decided to stick together since then. 

My boss Elliot Hayes. The Chief of the hospital. Cora and I always likes to joke around with him at the hospital. I must say he is a pretty cool boss. But he can be an ass too the day he wants to be. And then there's this one doctor that also hangs out with us at the cafeteria sometimes. Logan Ward. He is very attractive I must say. But we just hang out at lunch and breaks. 

I'm not going to say I'm the innocent kind of girl. I try to be but sometimes it just doesn't work out that way. I have had a few guys in my life that I used for my needs and some guys used me too. I just never found that guy that I can see myself with for the rest of my life. I'm still looking for that someone. Maybe one day that someone will come into my life. But for now I just take life as it comes.

I'm doing this story for the breast cancer awareness month. Breast cancer is such a big thing now. So many woman suffers from it and I thought I would do something for it because it is a very serious situation in woman these days. I hope you will read it. Doing it for a good cause. And please vote on it if you like it. And lets support our woman out there in this world that is suffering and fighting through this. Breast cancer awareness month. Wear that pink ribbon.
