I start to get ready for the meeting Grace invited me to. I just got out of the shower and I wrap the towel around me and went to my room. I get my clothes on the bed and get dressed. I put on white skinny jeans with a lose white button top. And black high heel sandals. I then went to my mirror for the first time I got out of the shower. I put on some mascara, eyeliner and lip-gloss. And I blow dried my hair and braided it into a braid on the side. I get my things and put it in my purse. I go out of my room and closed the door and go downstairs.

Edwin were waiting for me in the living room. He heard me coming down the stairs and he gets his keys of his car.
"Are you ready to go?" he asks me seriously. I think that was the first time he asked me anything in a serious way. I just nod and we went to his car. He drove a muscle car. 2017 Dodge Challenger SRT 392 to be exact. He opens my door and I get in. And he gets in the car too. I told him the address and he drives to the place I should be.
It was quiet for a while so I just stare out of the window looking at the busy city night life.
"I'm sorry for what I said to you when we met." Edwin says.
"What do you mean?" I said not looking at him.
"You know what I mean." he says.
"It's fine." I said. I felt his hand on my thigh and I jump a bit when he does.
"I'm really sorry." he says.
"Okay." I said. He takes his hand off from my thigh and I relaxed again. We soon reached the place. And I get my things and open the door.
"Thanks for the ride. The thing is an hour."
"I'll see you in an hour." he says.
I get out and was about to close the door.
"Payton." he says. I lean down to listen to what he has to say.
"I still want you even if you have cancer." he says and he had this serious look on his face. I stare at him.
"I heard your conversation with my cousin."
I just sighed and shook my head. I just closed the door and went inside. When I get inside Grace waves at me to come to her. I walk her way and she hugs me.
"I'm glad you came." she says. I just nod and soon the meeting starts. I sit next to Grace and they start.
"Hi everyone. To the new one's I'm Quinn Reed. Lets meet the new ones." she looks at me. I was the only new one. I clear my throat.
"Hi. I'm Payton." I said.
"Welcome Payton. Tell us more about yourself." Quinn says. I nod and I took a deep breathe.
"I'm Payton Green. I'm 30 years old and I'm a nurse at Seattle Grace hospital. I'm single. And I recently found out that I have stage 2 breast cancer."
"You came to the right place. Here we help to support one another. And to help each other to stay positive in this fight against cancer. I have bowel cancer. I'm married with 2 kids. A boy and a girl. Why are you still single?"
"I just haven't find the right guy yet. In fact I've never been in love to be honest. Most of my relationships ended before it came to that point. I had plenty of...." I felt a bit uncomfortable to say it out loud.
"Sex. You can say it sweetie." Grace says. I chuckled and I blushed a bit.
"Yeah sex." I said chuckling.
"Don't we all. With what we deal with everyday it is quite normal to have as much as possible. It helps to make this thing we deal with easier. And don't feel ashamed if you have too much of it. Tell me Payton. Do you want to fall in love?"
"Who doesn't? I mean yeah of course I want to know what it feels like to be in love. Especially now that I know I have cancer and that there might be a chance that I...."
"That you might lose this battle against the cancer?" Quinn asks. I just nod with some tears in my eyes.
"You need to stay positive in this. It's the only way you are going to have the courage to fight through this hard battle. And have some hope. I know it just sounds like words to you right now. But don't give up just yet."
"Thank you." I nod and wipe the tears away that escaped my eyes.
"And you can put that on your bucket list." Grace says.
"Bucket list?"
"Yeah. We all have one. We all have cancer in here. Why don't you try to make one yourself. You don't have to share it with anyone just make a list of all the things you want to do before you die. Even if you do survive this fight against the cancer. Live your life while you still have the chance to. Do whatever you want now. Live your dreams now. And just do what you always wanted to do."
"Wow. That's some pretty good advice. That makes me feel a bit better about this whole situation."
"It does. Doesn't it?" Grace says. I nod and smile a bit with tears in my eyes again. I wiped it away.
"Gosh. They just won't stay away."
"Totally normal Payton. Lets pray." Quinn says and we all gather hands and closed our eyes.
Quinn prays for us and the meeting ends. Grace walks with me outside and I saw Edwin was there.
"Well my ride is here."
"Will I see you next week?"
"Definitely."
"Great."
"Thanks for telling me about this." I said and I hug her. She hugs me too.
"Bye." I said and she smiles and waves at me. I left and Edwin and I went home.
