"So, you guys know each other? Great! That means we can get stra-" Brent cut him off with a wave of a hand, the large muscular man wearing a plaid red shirt and jeans walked up to us. "Uncle Brent?" Shane said with a small smile on his face as he stepped forward to get a little closer to the man. Brent knelt down and hugged Shane "hey there pal, how you been?" He said as he tightly held the small boy in his arms.

I stood there with my arms crossed staring at this man. He looked up at me and sighed "hey Hue." His eyes softened up as he aimed a weak smile at me. I didn't reply though, I just watched him as he slowly stood up. "You look taller!" He tried to pull my trust, but I wasn't falling for it "I grew up." I replied back to the man. His eyes narrowed and studied me, and I did the same to him. Shane, who was still next to Brent, looked back and forth at us. "What's wrong?" He questioned openly to the group inside the room. Brent broke his stare and looked down at Shane and cracked a deep laugh as he reached down and picked the young boy up into his arms. "Nothin kiddo, just looken at how tall and grown your brother is now." He said reassuringly, but I didn't believe it. He still had something out for me...

"So what's the job you want us to do." I blurted out to the man holding my little brother close in his arms. Brent's eyes widened as he looked over at Shane. "Well, I was wanting you to go out to Virginia."

I looked at him in disbelief, Virginia was a long walk. How could this psycho want us to walk all the way there? "W-what? Do you realize how far that is?" I said in disbelief. I crossed my arms and shook my head "and what do you mean in just me? Shane and I are a team."

Brent nodded in agreement "Yeah, you were a team. But this boy my family, I'll teach him combat so he can soon lead his own outpost." He said smiling at the now unsure boy, Shane cocked his head in confusion "but I don't want to leave Hue." He stated as he looked over at me. The man grunted and put Shane down. "Tough kid. You can't leave with him." He said as he turned around, placing a map on the desk behind him. He turned to Kyle and nodded "Code 57F, don't forget." He pointed at Kyle who nodded back. Brent walked to the exit "say you're goodbyes, then Hue, you go. Leave Shane." He said as he walked out the door.

I looked at Kyle "there's no way in hell I'm leaving him. I'll kill everyone here before I do that." I growled. Kyle put his hands up and smiled, "I'm not stoppen you from leaving with em." He said smiling. He lowered his hands and placed them on his hips "it's the least I can do for you." He said happily. I sighed in relief "thank you." I said softly before turning around and getting the map off the desk. It was a map to Virginia from where I was. it was hand-drawn, pretty good drawing to, it had locations that said 'supply' or 'safe' written next to them.

"There are safe spots on that map, to make sure you and the kid get up there safely, and also get back safely." He said smiling still. I looked over at him "who is this kid anyway?" I said confused, why was it so important? Kyle lost his smile and looked over at me "she's Brent's daughter. Stolen 2 years ago by some ass."

I cocked my head at him "then why not of gotten her then? Like 2 years ago?" I said as I crossed my arms across my chest. "We just found her location by one of our operatives, you'll pick her up from a guy named Richard." The man stopped and chuckled a little bit "he can be a dick sometimes." He looked at me for a reaction, but I didn't understand, so I just shrugged it off. "Well, thanks for the help, Kyle," I said waving as I walked towards the door that leads to the halls. "Good luck bucko exits to your left 3 rooms down and up a flight of stairs!" He said happily as we walked out of the room.

"What does that mean?" Shane questioned me curiously. I looked down at him "what do you mean?". The boy looked down at his feet then back at me "being a dick?" He said confused. I shook my head and playfully smacked the top of his head, he giggled "ouchie!" "Just don't say things like that, it's not a bad word, but it's not nice." I laughed as we headed down the hall towards the exit.
