Me and shay are standing here and just look at Casey.

"did the baby live?" I ask

"I have no idea. I'm assuming not. Since she's dead the baby must be too. but it's possible I guess"

"How didn't anyone not notice? a pregnancy isn't that easy to hide." Shay says.

"Exactly." Casey says.

"Wait I did notice she gained a little weight. Only because our t shirts are a little tight. I just thought she was bloated or something. It wasn't a big gain though. I only noticed cause I'm a girl,we notice more stuff like that in each other." Shay says.

"Yeah I was training her in the academy. I didn't notice anything that would be related to a pregnancy other than her being tired but that's a given in firefighting." I say.

"I was sleeping with her and I didn't even notice for gods sake! Well Kelly I guess our kids could have been best friends." He smiles.

"Yeah. But don't get your hopes up,I've learned from experience,if you get your hopes up about survival. You get too attached....and.." I trail off.

"You have a point....guys if it lives do you..um wanna be the..god parents?"

"Awww Of course" shay says. She hugs him.

"Yeah Casey. Id love to" I man hug him"

"Hey shay your on a roll. 3 god kids." I say. "Casey's,mine,and hermanns"

"Aww I know. I feel the love guys"

"I have one god daughter" Casey says

"Me too. I have a god son. And a god daughter."

We hug.

"If she lives I'm gonna name her Gabriella."

"Aww that's a perfect name"shay says.

"Thanks" Casey says. He smiles.

"And Hey man, if she lives she will help you get through this. And it's because she won't have a mom doesn't mean nobody is gonna protect her,Shay is here for her as a girl and it's like she will have like 10 dads or brothers. Not counting pd. and she will have Erin and everyone there too. Both our kids would have a bigger family than everyone else."

"Thanks kelly,your right"

"Your welcome."

"So you wanna go eat now?"

Me and Casey nod to shays question.

We get in my car and drive to mcdonals and as I'm driving my phone rings and I ask shay to get it out of my pocket.

"Which pocket?"

"The right back one" I lift a little off the seat so she can get it.

She answers it.

"Hello?, oh hey Evelyn! yeah he's right here" she hands me my phone and her and Casey make kissy faces at me. I glare at them.

"Hey babe,"

"Hey,i haven't heard from you. Is everything ok?"

My jaw drops.

Casey and shay look scared.

"Um sweetheart. Dawson.....d..Dawson she um.. she didn't..make it"

She gasps.

"Oh my god...but she was doing so well how..."

"I know. It's so sad"

"I'm gonna go ok baby. Tell Casey and Shay I say hi and sorry. Love you."

"Ok. I love you too babe"

We hang up

"Awww Kelly and Evelyn sittin in a tree k-i-s-s-i-n-g fir-" I stop them. "Hahah funny guys. What are we 2?" we laugh.

"Wait Shay. Did you reach into Kelly's back pocket?"

"Yeah. And...?" She asks. Oblivious to the fact she just touched my ass.

Casey just shakes his head.

"You guys are something different" he says.

We go to the drive through and get some of the dollar cheese burgers. 3 for each of us.

We go home and eat.

Shay and Casey fall asleep On the couch. I'd wake them but it's cruel. And hell will freeze over before I carry Casey up these stairs. So I just fall asleep there too.
