Court Date

The summer before your junior year in high school. And how do you spend it? Working some brutal summer job that actually makes you look forward to going back to school. Or maybe you have an internship that doesn't pay much, but That's okay, because it's for a good cause. Or maybe you spent it at Sweetwater Swimming Hole.

You And the best friends you'll ever have. Or maybe you spent most of June-July-August in a courtroom, Supporting our pal, Archie Andrews, who was on trial for a murder he didn't commit, despite the DA's closing arguments. I found myself more stressed than usual maybe it's because my best friend is getting charged for a crime he didn't commute, Or maybe the fact that we not only spent time in that court room for not only Archie Andrews, but for my sister Talia to.

Talia Jones. Once quiet and innocent little girl turned loud and confident serpent. Talia walked into the juvie cafeteria as she laughed along with a fellow serpent named Jolene. After they sat down away from everyone Jolene went to the bathroom. Talia picked at her cuticles around her green and black acrylics a girl did for her. A bigger girl came up behind her and grabbed her ponytail yanking her back before slamming her head into the table.

Black dots went into her vision as she was yanked back and got jumped by the bigger girl and another one. The guards turned a blind eye. When they finished Talia finally got on her feet. She went after the bigger girl. She threw her to a wall and threw a punch. The littler girl who helped jump her grabbed her and held her back.

The bigger girl smirked at Talia before using her face as a punching bag. Before pushing something into her thigh. Talia gasped in pain but then hit the ground and everything she saw went black.

It wasn't a surprise attacked Talia would soon learn. It was planned between both Ghoulies and Serpents who thought they needed to take FP Jones daughter out.

"Let's get ready for T's trial" FP told his son Jughead, as they walked up another level. Sweet Pea and Josie, who had a summer fling while the adopted Jones daughter was behind bars fighting for her innocence, followed close behind them. Along with Toni, Cheryl, and Fangs.

Betty, Archie, and Veronica made their way in the court room to meet with everyone as their friend went on trial. When everyone came into the room Talia Grace-Jones was escorted in. She limped and her face was beat to a pulp. Two black eyes, bruised cheeks, and a split lip. "Talia." Sweet Pea breathed but she kept her head down, and walked straight to the table to sit. 

"All rise" the bailiff called out and everyone stood up. The judge came out and said, "you may take your seats." Talia sat down as Mary Andrews, her attorney, sat next to her. Joseph Chen's family stood on the other side. Talia knew there was no Joseph Chen. She knew Penny did something. She was the reason she went to juvie the first time.

Susan Tale, the Chen's attorney, stood up to make her opening statement.

"Ladies and Gentlemen lets start off with a health check from the victim Joseph Chen. I spoke to his doctors who one day told me he was better and walking the next turned around and said he died in his sleep last night. So let's take a moment of silence for that poor innocent child that lost his life at the hands of this.. monster of a girl."

Susan Tales spat out at Talia as she spoke with so much conviction and hatred, "The girl who smiled with mischief and breathed the poison of the snakes she comes from. The girl who has a violent tendency and a drug problem. She was a key person of interest in the murder of Riverdale golden boy Jason Blossom. Who do you believe an innocent boy who was murdered in a violent act or a ravaged gang member?" She finished and sat down.

Talia looked down and clenched her eyes shut as tears fell. Mary took her hand as she quietly sobbed.

Throughout the whole trial, Talia has done nothing but stay silent and cry her way through.
