'An earlier time of three-thirty today,' Kihyun thought to himself as Hyunwoo stepped through the door.
Granted, he was still the last parent to pick up their child, but at least it wasn't gone five o'clock this time. Kihyun smiled himself at the accomplished look on Hyunwoo's face and picks Minhyuk up.
"Are we going to play now?" Minhyuk asked from Kihyun's hip and the pink-haired male nodded. "Is Daddy going to sleep again?"
Hyunwoo chuckled at that and ruffled the blonde's hair, causing the boy to squeal excitedly.
"You can sleep if you need to, it's no problem," Kihyun reassured as he locked up the classroom for the day, hiking Minhyuk further up his hip as he stuffed the key into his back pocket.
"What about you? Do you need to sleep?" Hyunwoo asked, avoiding Kihyun's own statement.
"No, I'm fine," Kihyun laughed, and Hyunwoo couldn't help but notice the skin around Kihyun's eyes looking red and irritated.
He couldn't imagine the other male crying; that very thought made Hyunwoo feel sorrow for some unknown reason.
Although he hadn't even known Kihyun for very long, he could tell the male was probably a lot nicer than he was. He was obviously caring and definitely much better with children, something Hyunwoo would never be better than him at.
Hyunwoo could also tell Kihyun wasn't exactly the manliest man out there either. He wasn't physically structured like Hyunwoo, but Kihyun was more petite. He was short and too skinny for Hyunwoo not to be concerned about.
Most of what he wore was just over-sized pastel sweaters and skinny jeans, and Hyunwoo could see how thin his thighs were even from a mile away. He worried about Kihyun sometimes.
It had been a while since Hyunwoo actually had someone he could call a friend, and Kihyun was by far the best person he could've met at this time in his life - not only for Minhyuk's sake but for his own as well.
It was clear Kihyun was a good person with basic morals and that he actually respected people, and Minhyuk seemed to love him.
The drive home was pretty much silent. Minhyuk was asleep on the back seat and Kihyun was texting someone that Hyunwoo probably didn't know. Kihyun thought it would be best to not talk to Hyunwoo while he was driving, since that always used to put his own father off and just believed it was the same for everyone.
"You can talk to me, you know," Hyunwoo teased like he had just read Kihyun's mind.
Kihyun put his phone down and looked over at Hyunwoo, who was focused on the road. He would never admit this out loud, but the older male's side profile was breathtaking. Even his jawline was manly, and his cheekbones looked firmed, yet the skin underneath them soft and malleable.
Whereas, Kihyun's face was primarily just baby fat that refused to go away, hence why Jooheon and Hoseok always teased him by calling him 'hamster'.
"I didn't want to distract you," he replied quietly, also not wanting to wake Minhyuk in the back.
"You won't," Hyunwoo smiled. "I actually find your voice very soothing. You should consider singing, I think you'd be really good at it."
Kihyun felt a blush creep up onto his cheeks, and looked back down at his phone to distract him.
"Thanks, I guess," the pink-haired male smiled at the lock screen of him, Jooheon and Hoseok as he unlocked his phone to check his messages. "But your voice is no joke, either. I get chills every time I hear it."
Hyunwoo chuckled, and Kihyun's cheeks flushed an even deeper shade of red.
"Thank you," he was still chuckling, and Minhyuk stirred in the back seat.
