Alex's pov

We just met jace by the exit and he has a girl over his shoulder, what else is new. Isabelle was the first to speak. "Jace who is that", she pointed to the girl over his shoulder. "This is clary, I found her in one of the rooms chained up",this time Alec spoke. "Is she a downworlder"? "No I think she is a mundie" he turned towards the door, opened it an went out "are you to coming or you gonna stay there" with
that said they both walked out the door as well. "I'll call Magnus and get him to open up the portal" Alec dialed in Magnus's number and then a portal appeared. "Shall we"? They all stepped through the portal together, clary still over jaces shoulder

Jaces pov

We arrived just out side the institutes door and we all went inside. "I'll go get mum she will want to see her" "ok, me and Alec will take her to the infirmary" the all parted in different directions. Jace placed clary on a bed "Alec can you get a face cloth" he went over to the bathroom as came back out with a cloth "thanks" jace took the cloth and started to gently wipe Clarys face. Maryse had come in checked clary out said she could stay then left. Now we just had to wait for her to wake up. Isabelle came in saying that she ordered Chinese so me and Alec left to go eat with her.

Clarys pov

I open my eyes to a dim lit room that Is massive and I am laying on a bed, I have no idea where I am. When I sit up my head starts throbbing, I try to fight of the pain but when I stand up I just fall to the floor. Suddenly I hear the door open and I see him I think he said his name was jace but I'm not sure. He comes over and stands in front of me holding out a hand. "You might want to take it easy for a little while" I take his hand and he helps me back into a sitting position on the bed "thank you... For everything" he looks at me "it's fine just helping another damsel in distress" he said with a big grin on his face "no really it's fine, it's part of the job" "your job is breaking and entering the stealing people"? "Hey if I didn't steal you you'd still be chained up" "good point" there was an awkward silence for a minute. "Where am I"? "Your at the New York institute" "New York"? "Yes haven't you been here before"? "No I was never let outside" "hmm that sucks, anyway Maryse, who is the head of this institute wants to speak with you" I sigh "ok let's go" I slowly hop up with jaces help and leave the room.
