Peter's POV
This week has been rough. My mind isn't the same since coming back. I don't sleep at night, and I do it's quickly interrupted. Interrupted by images flashing in my head, or the feeling of my body turning to ash. May's been trying to help, but neither of us know what to say or do. I think yesterday was good for me though, I was able to forget for a few hours. Now I've got my first date with Margo today. Margo's normally one of the few people I tell everything to, but she doesn't know how bad it's been since I've been back.
"Hey tiger, how's it going in here" May says walking into my bedroom.
"I'm okay, tired, but still okay" I say looking over at her standing in the door way.
"I would say, why don't you stay home, but I'm kinda routing for you to leave the house" She says chuckling and sitting next to me on the bed.
"Trying to kick me out already" I say jokingly back at her.
"No, I just like how happy you were for a change yesterday. I didn't know when I'd see it again" She says smiling and patting me on the back.
"I can't lie it felt good to get out and be around everyone one" I say lightly smiling over at her.
"Exactly why I say you're going tonight. What are you guys doing" She asks me.
"We have a movie in the park, and then I'd figure we'd go for ice cream or something" I tell her making her nod her head, hopefully in approval.
"Sound really nice, are you meeting at the park or her house" She ask and I tell her we are meeting at her place. "You know that'll probably lead to a talk from her father right". My head shoots up and I look over at her.
"I totally forgot about Tony. There's no way to avoid there is it" I ask and she just shakes her head and grabs my shoulder.
"It'll be okay, you kind of already have it in good with Tony" She says nudging my shoulder. I just laugh and nudge her back.
"Thank you May, you don't mind dropping me off there do you" I ask her and she nods. I pull a black hoodie over my t-shirt before heading out. Once we get there I just sit in the car for a minute.
"Don't worry kid you got this"She says pushing me out of the car. I wave goodbye and head up to the house. When I get to the door I turn around to look over at May, she gives me a thumbs up and drives away. Before I get the chance to knock on the door Pepper swings open the door.
"Oh hi Peter! I was just coming to grab something. I'll let Margo know you're here" Pepper says moving aside letting me in the house.
"Thank you" I say giving her a light smile as I walk inside. She walks up stairs and I just awkwardly stand against the couch. I wasn't nervous until now, it's kinda hitting now. Actually it really hits when Tony walks around the corner. I'm more nervous for this than the actual date.
"There you are Peter, we should talk" He says sitting down on the couch.
"O-Okay, I know you didn't want this to happen but I really do care for your daughter Mr. Stark" I say sitting on the other side of the couch.
"I know kid, I trust you. I just don't want you doing anything stupid. You remember that thing I said to you when we first met" He asks, I automatically know what he's referring to.
"Um yea, something like don't do anything you wouldn't do, and definitely not anything you would do" I say nodding my head.
"You're a good kid Peter, plus I like the idea of having another super hero looking after her" He says patting my shoulder.
