Marinette's body convulses as the shock of the defibrillator runs through her limbs. She remains limp on the bed, and the nurse performs CPR once more to get the girl's heart beating correctly again, the monitor still beeping irregularly in their ears.

They charge the defibrillator for the second time, "Clear!" And another shock goes through Marinette.

Adrien leans his head against the glass window. 'If there's any God listening,' He thinks, 'Please, don't let her die.'

"I've got a regular heartbeat!" One of the doctors calls.

"Okay, don't lose it." Another one says.

The staff rushes around, injecting liquids in IVs and working on stabilizing their patient. Marinette's chest starts steadily going up and down again, although she still looks limp and unconscious. Adrien breathes a sigh of relief, wanting to collapse from the stress of it all.

The head doctor storms out of the room in Adrien's direction, "What the hell was that?" He gestures to the hospital bed, lowering his voice, "She had a near-deadly heart arrhythmia with signs of strangulation. Do you have something you want to tell me, pal?"

"I swear I had nothing to do with it!" Adrien innocently puts his hands up.

"I won't hesitate to call the police. You need to explain yourself."

The boy's gaze shifts back and forth, "How much time do you have?"

Gabriel opens his clenched fist as soon as he gets back to his lair. The two red and black earrings reflect little polka dot patterns onto his gloves while he moves them around in his hand.
He flashes an almost mad grin, "I've done it! I have the power of creation!"

The Miraculous suddenly breaks out into a bright pink light, and Tikki appears in front of him, confused, to say the least.

"Gabriel Agreste?" She recognizes him from Marinette meeting him a few times, "Why am I here?" Tikki looks around the room full of butterflies, coming to the obvious conclusion of his identity.

"We're going to be great together," Gabriel smiles darkly at her, "I'm going to be great!"

"You'll never get away with this, Hawk Moth."

"But you see," He takes one of the earrings between his fingers, "I already have."

He jabs the pointed end into his ear, yelling slightly, but still puts the back on it and does the same for the other ear. A small drop of blood comes from the fresh wound, although he doesn't seem to notice. His eyes glimmer at the thought of his newfound power and only has one thought on his mind, 'Chat Noir.'
