Marinette's hand slowly gets colder in his. Where are the ambulances? They should've been here ages ago.
"I should've helped you; I should've taken you to a hospital or done something. If I hadn't been so stupid and reckless, you wouldn't have had to save me and you'd still be here." Adrien gently puts her hand back on her chest and crosses it with the other, "It's... it's gonna be tough to find you this time around, My Lady. I'm sorry."
He tries to stop his tears whilst moving her hair away from her face.
'At least she might have some peace now,' He thinks.
"Adrien," He hears his father's voice to his right, "I'm-"
"Where are the ambulances?!" Adrien interrupts angrily without looking away from Marinette's pale face, "Why didn't you do something about this?"
"I almost did, but then she stopped you from dying, so I decided against it."
"What? How is her life worth any less than mine, Father?!!"
"You're my son, Adrien."
The boy looks up at his father for the first time, "Well, I wish I wasn't... Just leave me alone."
Gabriel unconsciously puts his hand over his heart, the cat miraculous on his finger clinking against his buttons, "You're all I have left Adrien, how can I make it up to you?"
Adrien stands up, clenching his fists, "Make it up to me? You killed the ONLY OTHER PERSON WHO I ACTUALLY CARED ABOUT!" He whispers, "And the only one who cared about me."
"I care about you."
"Really? You sure have a messed up way of showing it. You don't even know anything about me. Apparently you've been too busy being a SUPER VILLAIN trying to KILL ME!"
"It was never about killing you or Ladybug, you know that."
The boy wipes his eyes again with his wrists, his hands still bloodstained, "What was this, then? If you really only wanted the Miraculous, you didn't have to become this psychopath, you didn't have to stab me, and you sure as hell didn't have to take Marinette and torture her and do who knows what else to her! I swear, if you just knew what it was like to be her in that situation. But you don't care, because you only think of yourself." Adrien walks back towards Marinette and gently picks up her limp body, "You've lost what little respect I had for you, and you've lost me as a son... Gabriel."
The front doors still stand open from earlier and Adrien walks through them, making his journey back towards the hospital.
"Adrien, wait!" His father runs after him, "I'm not sorry, and I can't say I ever will be because I always thought everything would be worth it once I brought back your mother. I see now that this Ladybug brings the same value to your life that Emilie brought to mine. I know it won't change your mind, but-" Gabriel holds up his hand with the cat Miraculous on it, Adrien's and Marinette's kwamis appearing from out of his jacket pockets, "Tikki, Plagg, transform me!"
