Daniel stares at his bed in disbelief.
"I- what is this? What the hell is this?!" Daniel starts to freak out.
"I told you!" I fling the pictures in my hands at Daniel. "I fucking told you!"
"We need to call the police," he tells me. "We need to do something right now."
I shake my head vigourously. "No! Are you crazy?! We can't take this to the police. What if that stalker tries to hurt us?"
Daniel puts his hands on his hips and starts pacing around, thinking. "Well, what are we supposed to do now?"
I think for a minute.
He's right. We can't really tell anyone. No one is going to believe us and even if they do, how are we going to find out who did it?
"We can't tell." I say quietly.
"If we can't tell the police, we need to tell Carson." He states firmly.
"But wh-"
"We're telling Carson. I'll try to see if he's still awake but if we don't tell him tonight, it'll be in the morning," Daniel decides. "Come down with me to get my phone."
I reluctantly follow him downstairs.
"Daniel, please. There's gotta be another way around this." I plead.
He ignores me and grabs his phone off of the kitchen counter. He begins to look through until he finds Carson and calls him.
"Oh my God, you're calling him?! Daniel!" I say in disbelief.
"Hush," Daniel turns away from me and puts the phone on speaker.
Rinnnng. Rinnnng. Rinnnng. Rinnnng.
'Hello?' Carson answers after the fourth ring.
My heart starts beating fast and I'm freaking out for the millionth time tonight. What if this makes things weird? What if he doesn't believe me?
"Dude, we need you to come over right now." Daniel tells him.
'It's like 11 o'clock. My parents would flip if I asked to leave right now.'
I'm just staring at Daniel as he talks.
"Then don't ask." Daniel states flatly.
'You mean like sneak out? You're trying to get me killed dude!' Carson exclaims.
"Well, there have been some..." He turns around to face me. "...extenuating circumstances. We just need you over here right now. We'll deal with the parents later."
'What do you mean?' Carson asks, sounding a bit concerned.
"Look, it's about Jada okay?" Daniel sighs. "We- she needs to tell you something."
'Alright, I'm coming. Is she okay?' Carson asks.
"She's fine, dude. Just get over here ASAP." Daniel hangs up before Carson can say anything else.
"So, he's coming now." Daniel says to me.
I roll my eyes. "Yeah, I heard the entire conversation. I can't believe you called him over this late at night."
"I don't know what to tell you," he shrugs. "He needs to know."
"Whatever... just... what now?" I say, losing patience. "What do we do until he gets here?"
"We need to get those pictures from off my bed and look at them closer. Maybe we can get some idea of who this person is," Daniel replies. "So come on."
