I gasp.

I shakily open the message and try to think of what to say. I don't even know who this is!

'Who is this?'

I send it and lay my phone on the counter.

Make the rest of the balls and start to dip them in the chocolate.

My hands shake as I put each truffle on the tray.

My phone lights up and I try to wait to look at it until I finish.

After the last ball has been chocolate-covered, I slide the tray into the refrigerator.

I wash my hands and dry them on the tiffany blue towel on the side of the sink.

I pick up my phone and stare at the lock screen.

'Omar: Are you doin anything tomorrow?'

I put my hand over my heart. It's just Omar.

"Jada, I-"

I almost jump out of my skin.

I whip around and see Carson right behind me.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you," He says apologetically. "You okay?"

"Oh, gosh. I'm fine." I lean into him and sigh.

He puts his arms around me and lays his head on mine.

"What were you guys doing upstairs?" I ask.

"You know, just playing the Wii." He replies.

"My favorite game on there is..."

Carson starts to slide his face down to my level. When his eyes meet mine, he stops.

His nose is touching mine and his lips are close.

"You wanna play?" He asks.

I nod slowly.

He pulls away fast and runs for the stairs. "Okay, let's go!"

Before I run after him, I open my phone to reply.

'Nope. What did you have in mind?'

I slide my phone into my back pocket and run upstairs.

When I get up there, Daniel's doing some weird pose. His left leg is out and his arms are over his head.

"What are you guys playing?" I ask, smiling wide.

"Shh." Daniel whispers.

I look over to Carson for an explanation.

"It's some yoga game," He says. "Come sit by me, babe."

Hehehehe, he called me 'babe!'

I start stepping around Daniel and try not to bump into him, but somehow I still end up on the floor.

"Ugh- Daniel!"

He's laying on top of me and my face is full of his hair.

He rolls off of me and sits up beside me. "Sorry, I couldn't hold the pose."

I laugh and sit up.

"Why don't we play Mario Kart?" Carson's big brown eyes stare at me from behind his glasses.

"Yeah, that'd be fun!" I exclaim.

"Okay, lemme put it in." He walks over to the Wii to switch out the games.

After he sets everything up, we each get a Wii remote and a steering wheel.

"I call Mario!" Daniel says, locking in his character.
