She probes for life,
at her masters will.
Her precision renowned,
by all her masters,
her captains and
all her crew.
She comforts them,
protects them,
watches over them
and records their every mission.
Even when they leave in their runabouts
to collect samples and meet with inhabitants,
she waits for their return,
hidden
and dutiful.
In return,
every captain and
all her crew
include her in their joy,
their discoveries,
their memories of past missions,
both successful and unsuccessful.
She is revered as part of a team and
loved as their loyal and trusty home…
